Aww.. thats so sad you agreed. I actually wanted to argue.

Oh well lets deconstruct things untill Sarcasm arrives and decides to take an opposing view just to annoy you.

The direct effects of global warming are overestimated in my opinion. Sure these guys are great economists, but that doesnt mean they know the direct ecological effects.

And as for the mirror neutrons, they arent the main part of watching and learning, instead they are more like the reinforcer of the learning. If you see people do it more and more in front of you, you are more likely to repeat it, even if you already learned it a long time ago.

now who's the one who is taking the antagonistic position?

without doubt. but it won't stay that way for long. we have by current estimates, 50 yrs before it becomes irreversable damage (if/how that is overstated is another question) and I think if people took a serious look, we would be towards carbonless in a blink.

eh...
they aren't the main part of watching, that goes to other parts of the brain. but they are certainly the center of "learning by watching"
they think the dysfunction of these neurons is what leads to most autism.

these mirror neurons are what teach us to speak, use our facial muscles, learn crude steps to simple processes etc. nothing too complex, but stuff that is fundamental to most processes.

not necessarily, our planet has the amazing ability to heal, and the ozone layer can be repaired with missles or by the natural process of more oxygen converted into O3.

Plus, whos to say this isnt just a phase of the worlds ever changing enviornment, or even our sun. There have been a noticible rise in temperatures on the Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter.

Autism isnt really related to inability, usually autistic people are great workers and very dedicated to what they do(if they have a job) some are even mathematical geniuses. The thing is they have a malfunction in the frontal lobe that disables their ability to link actions and objects with true personal meaning making it very hard to function in real society.

I watched a video in which an autistic person had a job as a bycicle repairs men, and he had the output of 2-3 employees. He also loved biking and every day would ride dozens of miles to see local architecture. However he didnt find a meaning to the arhitecture, he would come there, look at it, and then ride home. But, he did feel that seeing the world makes you fit in so he made entire alphabatized lists of places he had to visit each day.

However, when encountered with something new in his repairs he did have to have everything shown all over again, but learned quickly.

But there are different types of autism so you can never be certain.

and some of them have superhuman talents, but thats because they have a very detatched logic system, take for example the bubba/kiki test.
I have a pointy object and a rounded, soft one. which one is the "bubba" and which is the "kiki"
autistic people cannot tell by the name alone, its because they dont follow the (unlogical) paradigm of "soft syllables" that most people know. and its directly connected to the mirror neurons.
this is why they don't appreciate architecture, they cannot understand what it means.
not necessarily, our planet has the amazing ability to heal, and the ozone layer can be repaired with missles or by the natural process of more oxygen converted into O3.

given a lot of time earth might heal, and the temp cycles yes might be natural. but to say that we are doing nothing detrimental is a bunch of bull. and the earth cannot heal as fast as we (appear) to be destroying it.

We are destroying the planet Ill give you that. But, its to what extent we are doing so.

I mean the media always likes to get us tied up in knots of paranoia, and generally over exagerates. I think we should stive for smaller car emmisions and less reliance on damaging products, but not just because of the planet, because it will probably improve over all health. I mean already our GDP goes up just for our research in these areas, think what it will be like with improved health and efficiency. And yet the politicians and the oil companies just dont want to face the truth. They have dilluded themselves into believing that the problem isnt even there, and many of them just dont want to rebuild the infastructure required for alternative fuels.

Plus the lobbyists and special interest groups have such a grip on anyone elected that I am starting to doubt whether the politicians are saying what they will do for us. Because most likely they are saying it just to get more money for more commercial adds that dont stress the issues but just bash the other candidates.

Its like the country is starting to lose the true meaning of democracy.

yeah, understatement.
Is like the country is starting to lose the true meaning of democracy

I think you're going a bit far there...
although I have to admit, politicians are just slightly too worried about their ratings. no wonder people from show biz make the best politicians.

We are starting to experience protests that are almost to the scale of Vietman, the people are trying to speak out and our government is barely listening. The newest scandal has Bushes cabinet members refusing to state the truth under oath before Congress. While Congress itself is too concerned with pleasing this interest group or this company just so they have enough money to get reelected again, and the cycle continues.

What I meant about losing Democracy is that the people are getting heard less and less, and the companies are exerting control similar to the monopolies of the early 1900s.

Because if you join a League of Sentient Objects simply because you happen to be a sentient object that means you are conforming to your sentience! Rebel and join a completely different league of inanimate objects! Our leader is a toaster!
