Obviously it's because I haven't posted much since March. Clearly I'm the heart and soul of JU.
I saw the new forums for the first time two nights ago (I rarely ever use the forum interface). It sucks the big one. But I don't see where that would affect the quality or number of new articles (maybe the liveliness of debate for those that used that interface almost exclusively).

No more so than "everything that can be invented has been invented."
Seriously though, I thought a lot earlier than this the sentiments expressed about the current quality of JU. I felt we were in a slump -- the same old people writing the same old articles. There was a time years ago when I'd read practically every new article posted. Now I can go through page after page of Newest Articles without seeing anything that interests me.
But now that the sign-up bug has been fixed we've got a lot of new people coming in. There's been an increase in the number of articles lately. Things may be turning around.
I think we're just in a transitional period.
Now if I'd only start writing again, JU could return to its former glory....
