Well since I have been bogging about the needless death of our troops and the needless injury of our troops, when you say I am a waste of time you are saying the welfare of our troops is a waste of time.

I have written about the unnecessary federal spending especially the pork that is at an all time high under Bush and the GOP leadership. I have also said if we can not stop the spending spree, we must bring our tax revenue equal to our spending and STOP the deficit financing of our spending. Bush and the GOP do both badly-- The spend like drunken sailors and put it on the Federal Credit Card for which we and our children will be paying for a long time after Bush is gone!

Since when is opposing Killing our Troops and Injuring them a waste of time?

You see, this is where you and everyone else here differs. This country was built on sacrifice, everyone has to sacrifice in order to survive. This world is full of crap because no one has the balls to stand up and do what is right. Regardless of whether we went in to Iraq for oil, WMD or the freedom of the Iraqi people, in the end the end result of a free Iraq, a Saddamless Iraq, the begining of a better Middle East is worth the few lives we've lost in my opinion. If I could I would join the military force and fight with pride for my country. It's too late for me and in part I regret it. I can only hope that one of my sons will consider a military life, that way he can do more than just pay taxes for his country.

You have no faith in anything, you don't even believe the US is a great country anymore. All you care about is your madicare, madicaid and social security. You don't really care about the US or anyone in it, except maybe family members.

Bush began a new plan to secure the Mexican borders, something you bitched about over and over, where is your claim that Bush is doing something about it now? How come you are not giving Bush props for doing his job, even if it was a bit late, but better late than never? You're a hypocrit and that is that.

I NEVER did anything but expressed sorrow for all the death and injuries since this WAR WAS NOT NECESSARY. We were not in danger from Saddam and the deaths and injuries are ALL in vain. Bush has sacrificed our military for NO GOOD REASON.

It has NOTHING to do with Republican or Democrat. It is spending money we need to be spending on America that is being wasted. Last week a report was released by the Fed that showed 18 of the 20 Billion spent to rebuild Iraq was wasted.

The GOP controls Congress and the White House. It was the Democrats that wanted the 20 Billion to rebuild Iraq to be a LOAN to Iraq. Bush and the GOP make the Democrats look like small potatoes on spending. WE have never had so much of an increase in spending including PORK as under the GOP. Then to make it worse, the GOP cuts taxes and drives the budget into deficit and borrows the money for BOTH the tax cuts and the increased spending. Bush has not vetoed ONE spending bill!

I have a lot more respect for our military then their Commander -in -Chief who sends then to their death for NO GOOD Reason. When it was his turn to risk his life he made DAM Sure Daddy kept him safe in the National Guard. Cheney hid out with 5 deferments.

When a commander in chief lies about the danger to this country in order to invade another country, he has NO RESPECT for the lives of the men and women he sent to their death FOR NO REASON. This is the same person that HID OUT in the Guard when it was his time to serve in the military.

Welfare properly controlled helps people that NEED help. Passing away money in Iraq is the real waste. Bush and the GOP added one of the biggest entitlement programs-- Prescription Drugs and DID NOT PAY FOR IT. What Bush did is tack another 60 Billion per year onto the Medicare Fund that is already in financial trouble.

Let’s look at what Bush has done to secure the Border and enforce the laws about illegal aliens.

First, the number of border agents DROPPED in 2004 and the 10,000 added agents Bush said were needed have not been provided. In fact Bush included just 200 added agents in his budget request when he said we needed 10,000 more.

As to enforcement of employers hiring illegal aliens Bush has done NOTHING through 2005!

To say Bush has enforced our laws or protected our border is a joke and everyone knows it. The answer is not 6,000 guard troops. They CAN NOT STOP ANY person and they WILL NOT BE ARMED. It is another political joke from a do nothing President. Bush has dropped to 29% approval and Congress is at 18%. ON EVERY ISSUE, including security, the Democrats and preferred by the majority of Americans. On some issues the spread is 10% more want Democrats and in other issues the spread is 35% in favor of the Democrats. We are headed for another 1994 but this time it will be the Republicans that will feel the wrath of the voters. KEEP DREAMING BOYS!!!!!

We are at a record setting number of American Deaths for the month with 5 killed yesterday.

In Afghanistan it appears the Taliban are reorganizing with attacks yesterday killed 100. Attacks in several areas. We never finished the job in Afghanistan and it appears we may be allowing the same sectarian violence that is taking place in Iraq to expand in Afghanistan.

The source of both stories is the AP. Our policy is a failure that a few still do not accept.

The Col and I have been saying that the war in Iraq is not just a needless war but the perpetrators can be tried for crimes against humanity. Abu Gahraib prison abuses, the use of extreme force against unarmed civillians, the shoot first and ask questuions later attitute of the US marines, (now it appears that US Sen. John Murtha is seeking a probe),the encouragement to death squads, the extraordinary rendition by which people were traffiked all add up to crmes. More than 80,000 civillians have died in Iraq since the infamous "mission accomplished", and the US causalities are also heavy. Just today 8 US soldiers were killed.

Charles, just like many other libs trying to pose as a caring individuals when I agree with Island dog. They want to keep the poor there so that they vote for them. The fact is they know that these people are stealing from the hard working low and middle class. It makes me sick that I work 40+hrs a week and am happy to pick up a roast when I see someone who just popped out their 7th kid because they don't have the discipline to keep their legs having MANY steaks in there cart. Especially when I know that there are many like myself working hard and basically supporting them. The welfare system is also a part of the insentive for the illegals to come here. Not only are they breaking and entering but they are stealing the sirloin steak out of the fridge and leaving me with Top Ramen. A FACT Col likes to overlook and call me heartless. I support the local soup kitchen. I give clothes, shoes, etc to the needy. I have seen people go from being homeless and poor to being successful. Their is a difference between them and those on welfare. They want to make a change and most like me are too proud to get food stamps. When times are tough you tighten the belt. I don't see that from those on it. There may be a few but definitely not the majority.

There are millions of people in America that are poor not because they do not work. Many have jobs that do not pay a living wage. Some lost everything in Katrina. Still others have physical problems. I do not want to help people that refuse to work but there are many that need help and do contribute. Anyone that believes ALL the poor are that way because they want to be POOR or because they do not work are idiots. 500,000 homes were destroyed by Katrina. Many of the people who owned these homes do not have the money to rebuild or take on another mortgage-- Even a low interest mortgage. We spend Billions every week in Iraq but have no money for Americans in Need. That is pure Conservative BS. Ley's take the money we are spending in Iraq and help our people.
