No it is Bush who committed our troops into a WAR that did not have to be. Saddam was not able to do anything to the United States and that was clearly the military assessment prior to our invasion. Even if Saddam would have had some of the WMD he had NO way to use it against the United States!

I would ONLY risk the lives our troops to PROTECT our country. That was NOT the case in March 2003 and Bush was told that but ignored the facts. The two FORMER CIA Section Chiefs have come forward with that information as well as Gen. Zinni and LTG Trainer. If Bush had told Congress and the American People he was sending our troops into a war so the Iraq people could select a new government, he would NEVER have gotten Congress to approve this war and anyone that says any different is a LIER!

Bush sent our military to their death and injury against a danger that not only DID NOT EXIST but one that he was told DID NOT EXIST. Anyone that defends his actions is a guilty of sending our military into harms way without a just reason as Bush!

Thus we were fighting in a senseles war and it's all someone other than Bushes fault>

Reread your history books, Col. Hawaii wasn't "us", any more than the bases we have overseas are our property. And the Japanese gave us an ultimatum before they attacked pearl harbor. We could have pulled back out of the Pacific and avoided war. That wasn't our property, we didn't own it, there were no "states" out there. Europe was none of our business.

That's the only logical reason Bush would attack and start a war. Saddam must have found out that blood worked better as a coolant or something for the cornbread reactor. I mean those people sacrificed their bodies for science!

I've mellowed in my old age. I used to be able to do it every other word AND make a cohesive sentence out of it (Naval training ya know!). Now I gotta stop and think about it first!

First, most admit that Vietnam was not our finest hour. Our military fought bravely and died but in the end we were involved in a civil war just like the French told us. We were feed the BS that if Vietnam fall all of South East Asia would fall-- The domino theory. Well that proved to be a lie. The people of Vietnam did not support the regime we tried to prop up in the south.

In Iraq we have allowed the sectarian hatred that has existed in Iraq since the British formed Iraq to boil over because when we deposed Saddam we were unable to keep the factions from reemerging and creating the violence you see day after day. The three factions were kept from conducting the type of violence we see today by POWER First the British and then Saddam. We went into that country with a force strong enough to defeat Saddam but not strong enough to prevent the sectarian violence that is taking place now. We lost control within about three months of deposing Saddam. It may take an all out civil war to establish what will take hold in Iraq and we can not get drawn into a civil war!

No matter what anyone says, Bush avoided Vietnam by going into the Guard just like Cheney and Clinton used deferments to avoid service.

I was not fed anything, I felt the call to arms, I answered, and was let down and discriminated by people exactly LIKE YOU!@
