Refresh XML data in game?

IS there a way to refesh XML changes in game while playing, maybe I just missed it in the wiki.

the game loads fast enough that it's not a major issue, but it would be handy to be able to update the game with the latest saved files.

I tried changing the anomalies file while the game was running and backed out to the main menu. The "Loading" screen only stayed up for a second, and the anomaly data was not refreshed. So, I'm thinking you'll have to do a complete restart to test your new data.
