Iraq, Changing my mind

Iraq, Changing my mind

We Must withdraw, now

Watching the news and seeing how much hate these factions of the same
religion have for each other. Its time for us to cut and leave them to there own devices.

We are going to have to leave sometime and when we do they are going to kill each other anyways, so we must stop spending so much in human life and money to support a people that is headed for civil war.

We had our own civil war and we recuperated from it, let them do the same.

WITHDRAW OUR TROOPS NOW!

pray that an all out civil war does not start until AFTER we have removed our troops.

I pray that an all out civil war does not start at all.

if you think about it, the American civil war strengthened the country, was the beginning of the end of slavery.

Perhaps some good will out of it.

However, Sunnis and Shi'ites seem to hate each other in different ways than northerners and southerners.

The issue is not, is democracy good? It is that the Bush policy is NOT working to provide for OUR SECURITY. For one thing, Iraq is not ready for a democratic form of government that will result is a country that will oppose the elements that pose a danger to the United States and the West in general.

Elie, it appears that you posted it as a forum post, not an article.  Therefore, it will show in the forums but not in your article list.  I assume you posted it when the site was down but the forums were open.  It was not possible to post an article at that time, but you could post a forum post.

Would the new strategy be leaving Iraq alone?
Why not? The situation is out of control, despite the marines there who for a while did have the situation in hand. But we have since lost the will to do it right because we realized that horrific collateral damage was not worth it.

US invasion has led to the complete disintegration of Iraqi society and sooner the American troops leave the better it would bre for the Iraqis and the US.

Your definition of "Iraqi society" is weird, dude.

It is that the Bush policy is NOT working to provide for OUR SECURITY.

That is obvious because of the many attacks the US are suffering?
