I still think the 'verse is broken. Or maybe broken again. Currently ranked 512 at 37K. Chip at about 25K is ranked 480.

Are they showing only the last game points submitted maybe?

Hey guys, what's up? I got an invite from Fuels Chief to come on over here, so, I thought I'd check it out and say hi and stuff. Some of you may remember me from the old game/site, I used to have the name John Greenwood (my real name is Nathaniel Greenwood) and I was in the clan called "The Foundation". I know a lot of you guys (or, should I say, remember a lot of you), and I think it's great getting to see you all again. I haven't gotten the chance to play Gal Civ 2 much yet, (unfortunetly I don't get much time to play games), and I know I'm probably not one of the top players (that's for sure). But, I am definetly considering joining the ranks of this clan, I just haven't yet because of the fact that I don't play the game much.

Have fun with your new gfx card - I just did a bit of "system improvement" myself, and might try to resurrect the abundant everything scenario again (now running 2Gb of Mushkin CAS2 RAM, and a 256Mb XFX GeForce 7800 GS Extreme).

Damoose, the rankings take a while to update, so while you see your new points total immediately after submission your ranking doesn't change until the Meta refreshes and recalcs for all the submissions since the last refresh - hope that makes sense.

Once you have set up a game for the Metaverse and you go to play it, does pressing ctrl-N flag it as a cheat?

Or is it safe to do this?

No. Ctrl-N and Ctrl-S (quicksave) are no cheats.

In fact you can press anything as long as GC2 hasn't been started with the "cheat" option, AFAIK.

I think all medal views are disabled in the "Journals" section by design - gives you a low bandwidth option.

yes, Vulcan your the only one without medals showing now. You do need to set character as default.

Hey DG, I saw on another of your posts somewhere that you used to play Stars! - guess what I found on my hardrive the other day right below the "Stardock" directory Pity they never got the sequel off the ground, it had huge potential.
