What is the command for a screenshot and where are they filed?

Also what is the option to run in a window. I figured it was uncheck full screen but when I do that the task bar does not respond to right click commands to minimize, restore etc

Here's one of my designs. A Colonial Fleet settlement ship:

I think I got the BSG color scheme working pretty good... I love this ship design stuff! I used to design starships in math class...

Well, I finally got around to finishing my first game (spent a lot of time just messing around first). I won it culturally, and then the ending video came up...

There were so many things that were *funny* in that video, particularly the iKorx and the super-deformed chibi aliens... oh, my, goodness. I was keeled over laughing! Can't wait to see what the other videos look like. (Yeah, I could just watch them with Bink, but where's the fun in that? )

Peace & Luv, Liz

Not just one spiffy screenshot, but seven ship designs from my last game:

A couple more ship-shots...
I can't get enough of the ship design feature.

First, the Scorpion class (Thalan):

This one, I actually built pretty quickly. The one I made before it, the Sparrow, was really cool looking, but after I was all done and had built a few, I realized they each had only one HP each. I had accidentally used a cargo hull. Doh!
Anyway... after that, I made this one. The Crane (Terran):

Heh. Even without seeing the video, reading your description of it gives me the sense that perhaps a lot of the Stardockians are pretty big Monty Python fans. Would I be far wrong in venturing such a guess?

By the way, Jeysie, I'm so insanely jealous of you right now; you don't even know! I made the gargantuan mistake of pre-ordering through EB Games, so I'm still waiting for my copy....

You are not the only one. I am so tempted to just cancel the pre-order and download it from here.

I have found the GNN comments about the tech advances to be great. Definitely make you want to stop and read them intead of just glance at what they give you and move on.

Besides Monty Python I also saw some Hitchiker's referances, a referance to another game entirely (although I forgot which), and some general strangeness. Like little comments on what the ships do.

Good to see the Devs have a sense of humour.

Talk about lucky. The Humans and I are having a bit of a dustup. No clear winner so far. Then I found this.

Wow. Messed that up. And no edit in sight. Well, it's called the Lucky Ranger:

72 hp
25 beam attack
17 beam defense

All the human ships are lasers so far. Worst I've seen is a 2 attack no defense frigate. This baby might tip the balance a bit...

I love this game.

I don't know how it happened, I took it over from them, and withen about 20 turns it gave me two Precursor Rangers, so I think the planet might be bugging, either that or it's the Galactic wishing well. It came up on a small galaxy, six races, simple AI. I was unmodified humans going for a tech victory, this happened very late int eh game, so any bonus stackers had ample time to come about. No mods, no exploits, any bugs came from teh devs.

Liz,

This Akil Dawkins one of the lead artists for Galciv2. I'm glad you liked the cultural vic animation. Scott and I had fun coming up with screens for that one. I hope you all like the other ending animations and I wanted to thank you all for your continued support : )

Achieved my first victory last night, it was cultural as well. I was almost rolling with the animation. It was a brilliant little bit. Strong work, strong work.

Akil:

Oh yes, it was all quite fun, thank you!

I fired up the video in the Bink player so I could pause it, and there's a lot of wonderful funny little details in that video. Like the order for Hyperspace Skates, for instance. (You must need to have the "roller rink" built in outer space to use those...)

Everyone: Cool! Glad you guys liked it! I think scott mentioned the idea of doing an ikorx screen in passing. I don't think he really thought I was gonna do it. But he loved it when he finally so the animation.

Liz:
Oh you mean the crates! yeah, I put a lot of details in those crates that you can't even see with the motion blur. So at least you were able to make out some of the labels
