I've now had several instances whereon casting the Thunderstrike spell, the damage is dealt, but my hero does not teleport to the target square. Haven't been able to pin down any special circumstance when it happens, but thought it worth mentioning.
Never happened to me. However, every single time, without fail, that I have fought a crow demon (going back to FE, I believe), it casts thunderstrike, and this happens. I take damage, but it stays put.
Probably related.
Your hero simply EVOLVED. Through decades of studying the old books of Magi, he found how to cast Thunderstrike without teleporting himself, thus not getting in any real danger.
