I've always have been able to build on resourches that touch the zone of influence of a city, looks like a bug to me haven't tried to visit notable locations over my level, can't tall about this one
I used Impulse because of Stardock, trusted them a lot, even if I bought some really crappy games, mostly from promising small developers, the point was and is supporting indie games, so I'll buy directly from Stardock
no mods installed actually I got scared, 1.2 had just come out ...
before the bronze age there was the stone age, and before that there was the stick age counteless cave paintings show our ancestors chasing the swarg armed only with sticks sadly many of them died in the process, prehistory in games is a tough period
installed version 1.2 and started a new game, the old sovereign lost his head, so I created a new one, have played and beaten the game (with no more than the 1.19n bugs) started a new game, the custom sovereign lost his head again, this time I didn't create a new one, the sovereign didn't have any weapon or armor, and a bunch of headless units appeared near the pioneer notice the map borders, the game seems to use the dimension of the preceding map, at the beginning of
there is obviously a glitch here, but I would like to experience it before they correct it (if they correct it ? [e digicons]:bebi:[/e] )
already seen it in 1.19m, and now in 1.19n, after an hour or more into a game restarting the game seemed the only way of seeing the portraits again

update of data shown on screen is definitely an issue to be dealt with, you cannot trust what you are seeing +1 for a complete remake of the store interface, upgrading the gear of an army of 12 NPC is a real pain in the neck
a battle is an event, you should lose a movement point for every event, spells included, so players would have to make tactical choices, as it is, you place your best army in the middle of any number of enemies and destroy them all and you are still able to move I would put things even further : any battle takes out one movement point from the pool of an army, for example you are attacked during the AI turn, for every attack you lose a point of action, as a result next turn you can
unpronounceable names don't bother me a lot, some of those names are even charming, but I can't get over a group of three heroes with the same name, looks and strenghts [e digicons]-_-[/e]
to my surprise the AI was able to build heavily protected units with heavy armor on them - difficult setting, beta version 1.19n - nothing that five archers couldn't deal with in two turns
thanks to this thread I was able to find Krandir too remarkable places not showing on the cloth map are still there today quite frustratingly, these places sparkle on the map but are not visible on the cloth map, however some remarkable places keep sparkling after the mission has been done (in skirmish mode)
thanks Savyg, I don't want to put a beta patch on a beta game - no pun intended - I think I'll just wait for 1.2
how do you get version 1.19 ? "update game" on the the game's menu doesn't work, and on impulse there is no "update" button, I'm still on 1.11, and the game keeps crashing
You should try Freespace 2, an old space combat sim (1999) by Volition, once you get the game, patch it with Freespace Open . Freespace 2 is arguably the best space combat sim ever, I don't know any more recent games able to supplant it. Joystick mandatory. Alpha Prime (FPS, on Impulse) is not much of a challenge but the story is real sci-fi, pity it is so short. <a href="http://www.
PayPal is an indirect way of paying for things. They have to earn their living, so they charge a fee on any transaction. Generally the fee is deducted form the price of the thing (game here) you buy. For such ridiculous low prices adding the PayPal fee would be preposterous.
Pawel25, do you have the DOS version ? It works if you use DOSBox
Here's the solution. My bad. I forgot that the game came in a box - I actually didn't buy it from Impulse, just registered after buying it to donwload the update. So I took out the box and the two CDs and installed the game from the CDs, then updated with impulse and now the campaign is available again. Impulse shows the list of both the games I bought from the platform and those I bought in a box and registered with it. In both cases I can "install" them from the interface, s
Same problem here, I had to reinstall windows so I lost the old installation, tried to install GalCiv 2 again, now the game runs fine but there is no campaign : the screen is empty. LuthienStarshine have you found why and how get back the campaign ?
FreeOrion is just version 0.3, we'll have to wait a little longer before playing it [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] MOO3 isn't playable as it is, at least I can't, but a number of mods improve the user GUI and the AI, they are available here : http://www.moo3.at/mods/index.php I'l definitely give a try to MMO4, conversely I'd like a turn based combat system in GalCiv3, custom ships and bigger fleets ...
