Ok, ill just assume that they arent related (the prevent secondary) not working and the wake on lan not working. the wake on lan is far more important to me at the moment. I do realize you were in the thread in the past - I had hoped with the gentleman's info regarding the problem being related to multiple adapters being present, and my information about mac addresses and the variables i tested, you would have some other suggestions. I'd like to peg it o

Sorry, what i meant was when closing the tray icon via right click-exit, how can I prevent that pop-up from displaying? I'd like to simply be able to exit it without "are you sure you want to unload multiplicity" popping up. If there is a string in the registry to disable that, would be great. If not - its minor. Much more pressing is if you could look here and offer some ideas. <a href="https://forums.stardock.com/497027/page/1/
this wouldnt have to do with the fact that my other working WoL apps see the mac address as all capitalized same as presented by ipconfig whereas multiplicity lists it in lower case. I wouldnt imagine so, but im dead out of ideas. The problem has to lay with multiplicity as it works via every single other avenue ive tried. wake-on-lan from ios. teamviewer from within windows or IOS. Magic Packet uwp app.
fwiw, prevent sleep on secondaries is also not working. hypothesizing that the reasoning between one not working and the other is the same. In case that info is helpful to the staff as far as the culprit. Outside of those two items everything else seems to work perfectly. Unfortunately having functioning WoL is absolutely paramount for me. I really dont want to have to open up something else to wake up the pc's when its conveniently located right
Yea i have the pro. Just tested. Evidently it just wasnt as intuitive as i would have thought. I was looking for a means in the software itself, or in the dropdown bar that indicated that as being an option. I saw a screenshot that showed a tabbed type interface akin to groupy but it was in passing so i didnt pay enough attention. It would be nice to see switching built into the controlbar with some type of tabs to go back n for
Would ya look at that :P NEVER knew that was a way to get it to display. For some crazy reason, windows instead of maintaining the list perpetually - cleanses it almost immediately. You have to close/re-open, refresh the list and change it. Otherwise it simply purges it from the list? Definitely not ideal, and i consider myself a power user. Oh well, at least i know i can get at the teamviewer notifications that way a
So ive burned an hour digging through the registry. Time to ask the powers that be. During my initial purchase (yesterday) and set up of multiplicity KVM pro, i was disconnecting and reconnecting to secondary pc's frequently. Each time I was greeted with an annoying flyout making sure I was aware it was reconnected. I checked the windows notifications list, it wasnt there to disable, so I caught it on its next flyout and hit the gear. &
yea, disabled my bt adapter, disabled my wifi adapter, disabled my vpn adapter, still no wake on lan on either of my secondaries. works with everything else. hmmmm

Speaking of. Any way to disable this prompt? Registry perhaps? Would much prefer a clean shutdown.
i'd like to see the end of the Master/Slave situation.
Yeehaw! I found the problem with Multiplicity. [e digicons]:)[/e] Apparently, if you have multiple network adapters installed (even virtual ones like a VPN or for VMWare/VBox), the adapter that is pinged with a magic packet may not be the correct one! This does NOT affect the Seamless or KVM control code, because once the Secondary Computers are awake, they can be Connected To or controlled just fine
Edit: So it seems some of these worked themselves out. A couple were misinterpretations on functionality on my end. and some are still not working, still present, bugs, or feature requests. I've crossed out those that arent an issue, and commented in italic on the solution, the reasoning, or an improvement. Also bolded/labled feature requests as such. For those in a hurry that might have a solution to offer for whats left on the board. 3, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19 M
thanks for the reply :) are new features added to current versions? and how far along in the life cycle is this one. If new features arent potentially added, or a new version is already on the horizon - it obviously wouldnt make sense for me to spend 100 bucks :P
would be the most expensive software ive ever purchased, and brief research turned up some info that seems every time a new version is pushed you have to pay like 80% the full price to upgrade? yay/nay?
Ah, shame. Does this have potential for inclusion in the future? And this limitation is in place for all 3 versions of multiplicity offered then i presume? thank you for the quick response :)
thank you, i look forward to hearing back
So i used to use synergy, but it always required 1 server pc, and then client pc's. When synergy 2 came out, it allowed all pc's to be client and server which was great/exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately with the newest windows version, synergy 2 went down, and while its supposed to come back - theres no eta. this left me looking for another solution as I work across 3 pc's and often need to be at any of the 3 while not scooting
Also worth noting, OBS isnt capturing the titlebar that stardock adds/changes? This goes well above my paygrade but it usually has something to do with hardware acceleration. If so, perhaps a box to disable such in the groupy settings would be nice?
one more :P If you cant tell the time between is becoming greater/slowing down. Wont harass you much longer lol. The modifier (in this case ctrl since its the only one we have) for opening tabbed does not work for items in the context menu. Aka - i can ctrl+click powershell and get it to tab into my current window, however I cant ctrl+click the powershell in my context menu. This leaves me navigating through mys tart menu to find it. Thank you basj, youve been very attentive which is always a good sign :) Back at it this morning with another suggestion. The ability to perhaps, right click the + sign and select what you want to open? Perhaps pull from recently opened programs, or make it customizeable with frequently used programs. Kind of up to you guys to determine the impelmentation. But a shortcut like that to open differnet programs in the same window tabbed on the fly would be super
Hi again, and thank you for the tip. Works exactly as you described :) One issue. If you try to add another publisher tab. When you click the +, they arent grouped. it opens another window elsewhere but doesnt open it in the same window like it does with the rest of the office programs. I tried the checkbox for "group all mspub windows together" even though it wasnt neccessary for the rest of the office programs, but it still didnt help. <b
