I'm fairly skeptical... it looks like a standard fantasy RPG to me.
It's a 4xTBS, not an RPG.
Simon's contract ends next year we'll have a little more breathing room while he looks for his next one
Unless it varies by state, contractors are considered self-employed, and are thus ineligible for unemployment benefits. Not fun living without that safety, but that's why I make it a point to save as much as I can myself.

If you have a desktop machine (laptops wouldn't be upgradeable), you can find a video card that should run the game for $20-35 at the bottom end. Which kind depends a lot on what sort of slots your machine has available, if any (the current PCI-Express is cheapest, while the older PCI and AGP types cost more and are less powerful). Unfortunately without knowing what slots you've got, it's hard to be more specific about what you'd need to get and what it would cost you.

Sorry, but the SiS 760 is based on the Mirage2 chipset, which does not support the features the game requires. If you don't have another machine to play on or don't plan to upgrade, and you bought the game directly from us, you can contact [email protected] for a refund. If you bought the game in a store, see here about getting a refund.
GPU's are sort of multi-core in their set-up but it doesn't require much special work from the developer to make use if that because it is dealt with by the driver.
GPUs are not multicore, but rather just highly parallel, as graphics rendering consists of a huge number of small floating-point calculations which mostly don't depend on each others' outcomes (excepting stuff like anti-aliasing). Such parallelization doesn't really work for general-purpose processing where

At the end of the day, the wolves are guarding the henhouse. Pretty much any sort of reform is doomed to failure (and if not, it'll be nerfed and riddled with loopholes) because it would require a majority of politicians to legislate themselves out of their cushy jobs. It's well past frustrating at this point. Pretty much the only hope is to get the general public to actually *care* about integrity, constitutionality (yeah, good luck with that), and voting. Maybe if that ever happened
Card Name: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP
UniChrome is based on ProSavage, which also does not support Shader Model 2, AFAIK, sorry.

Sadly, no. It's a hardware feature, and on all but a few rare few laptops the graphics are built right into the motherboard, so there's really no way for that machine to run the game.
Card Name: SiS M760GX
The SiS 760 is actually a Directx8.1 chipset based on the Mirage 2 GPU, so it does indeed lack the required Shader Model 2 support that PM08 requires.

No, you cannot know in advance what a UP issue will be. You may be able to reload after seeing it directly, but I couldn't say if it'll be the same when you play back through to that point or not.
Is this my video card or what?
Most likely. This generally means that your video card does not support directx9 completely, and if that is the case, then you are likely eligible for a refund if you'd rather not (or can't) get a new video card. To confirm if your video doesn't meet the specs, please post the contents of the debug.err file from My Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008.
In short, painting them all with the same broad brush because of their occupation. In a way, we (the public) are all becoming bigots as far as politicians are concerned.
Honestly, there shouldn't even be such a thing as politics as an occupation. Serving in the government should be a civil duty and a supplement to a real job, not a career. I once, jokingly, proposed that the current legislative model should be scrapped and we should just randomly draf
Obama spoke directly about what we need to do, and what he will do
I'm still not planning to vote for either of the two, but I've got to comment on this: Obama needs to realize that second-guessing the initial invasion of Iraq is not a plan. Several times when asked about his strategy, he just went on about how it was a bad idea to start. That's not going to help get anywhere.
why can't there be a less graphics intensive version of the game?
In all honesty, it's actually not that intensive at all, just that it requires those DirectX9 features (it uses components we're working on for our next game, AFAIK). Even a low-end video card would work, so long as it supported DX9. DirectX9 has actually been around for more than six years now, though. I think manufacturers and retailers probably count on people not realizing what the numbers mea
i have direct x 9, and 64mb video card
The sticky point is having a "DirectX9 video card", which isn't the same as simply having DirectX9 (which will install even on really old hardware) and having a video card. It means you need to have a video card which natively supports the features that Microsoft added to DirectX in DX9 (for Intel chipsets, this means having a 9 series rather than an 8 as your system does).

Sorry, but your computer's video hardware does not meet the game's minimum requirements. If you bought the game from us and have no other machine to use (or don't want to upgrade just for this), you can contact [email protected] about a refund. If you purchased the game at retail, see here .
Obama’s response was, “If they need me, they will call me”.
Not the best choice of words IMO, since their failure to do so would paint him as kinda useless at best.

Ubi didn't include any serials with the game, so retail PM04 buyers had to use an openly available standalone patch (no serial meant no SDC support). I don't see it anywhere on the site here anymore, but third-party gaming sites such as FileFront do have it.

The debug.err is just a text file with a funny extension. When windows asks what to do with it, pick the option to choose from a list and select Notepad.

You will need a GeForce FX 5xxx series card or higher, or a Radeon 9500 or higher. The biggest question though will be whether or not your computer has an appropriate slot for a new video card, and for that, you'll need to open it up and take a look inside. When you look inside the computer, you should see a large circuit board on the opposite wall of the case from the one you're looking in; this is the motherboard. Lined up along the rear of the computer on the motherboard there will
