Can you post a picture of what you are seeing? And I have a GeForce 640 with the same driver level.
Sure. BTW, I start the game just by hitting "new game" and then leaving everything default. Oooh, what a pretty blue planet!
The next question is to moltobenny: Are you running with the most current (non beta) GPU driver? (I had some problems with the latest GeForce beta level GPU driver and had to back it off.)
Yessir. GeForce 337.88 (released 5/26/14), new GTX660 card. I'd be amazed if it was really a GPU issue, since it's an ocean world on the planet/production map too, not just in the galaxy map. But who know
Apologies if this is well-known or otherwise answered 100 times elsewhere, I swear I looked before posting: When I start as the humans, Earth is an ocean world. Like, 100% ocean. Where's my house? Where's Vegas? I thought I remembered seeing Earth's actual continents in an earlier Alpha build (or on the dev stream, maybe). Am I goin' crazy?
When the actual game comes out at the actual price , all of this will be forgotten.
I'm having a lot of fun, and I was specifically told not to. This is fantastic. Only been less than an hour but I already love it. Scrolling/zooming/animation on the main map seems sluggish, but I'm sure there are plenty of graphic enhancements to come. Yaaaay!
Is it just me or is the 64bit only and steam only crying a bit too much on the forums already?
There's already crying about the color of one of the spaceships in a screenshot. Whaddya gonna do? [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
Me too. We are totally 1337.
Insta-bought. Insta-Elited. OMG OMG OMG. Etc.
Woo! Thanks SD!
I got my big ol' "LIKES FALLEN ENCHANTRESS" spreadsheet here. I am going to go ahead and pencil Valentine82 into the ol' "No" column. Moving on?
If you say "bland and boring" one more time... Jesus. Anyway, you'd make your points better without all the flailing hyperbole and hysteria. But I guess that would take the fun out of it.
FE is a great place to build a fantasy franchise on. There's a lot of places the game can go from here. But shouldn't this game stand by itself? I think FE should have 'went places' from WoM but it really didn't go that far.
I think a large majority of the people who bought the game would say it does stand by itself, quite well.
Valentine82's posts are bland and boring.
Wow. Great post! I will say that for most of the past couple years I've been ensconced in hardcore online MP RTS play, and that's why I love this game so much. It's nice to sit back, relax and have fun building your own story for a change instead of making sure your build order is optimized. :)
That dude sure don't like this game!
This is the definitely the greatest thread on the internet right now, for introducing the words "baggy" and "bagginess" to describe games. I was going through my List of Games I Love looking for patterns, and couldn't find one. For action/arcade (Asteroids) and RTS (StarCraft II) I like 'em as lean as possible. For TBS and adventure (FE, Civ, etc.) I likes 'em baggy!! Great discussion.
Hello! I played GalCiv for ten billion hours! I loved Stardock! Then War of Magic came out and the press was so bad I got scared away, and sort of felt I'd lost a friend. Then (you may have heard) Fallen Enchantress came out! The reviews were good! Could I regain my old friend? DARE I JUMP BACK INTO THE POOL? My caveats are that this is my first game, and I'm only three or four hours into it, and I still don't have a REAL strong
Sounds like: 1. Your planet has a moon (10% production bonus... "3 bonus production" 2. Your race has a 10% social production bonus. Add those all up and your 24 becomes 31! Or something like that. Am I close?
I request that we keep calling it "Not-MOM" even after the title is announced, and even after the game is released.
Look, when I'm in GC2, I get to pretend I am the leader of a galactic civilization! I'm not playing a game, moving pieces around. I'm ordering ships to do by bidding, and building cities the likes of which the galaxy has never seen before! Behold the glory of my awesome planets, the way the sunlight glints off of them in just that way to let you know that my civilization is the one which will soon dominate the rest of the galaxy! I can't do this in the tacti
This issue appears to be fixed in 2.0! Thank you, dev team! Now GC2 is officially the greatest game of all time. :)
Medium Scale Building description (in the "tech perfected" screen) has a rogue "a" in between sentences, on its very own line.
"Number of extreme planets" and "likelihood of random events" graphics are the same as "number of minor races".
I should add that if it turns out it is not addressed, I will cry, possibly leading to electrical short-circuit as my tears cascade down upon my keyboard.
Please fix the Ship Yard so stuff i build is at least comprable to what designs are already available( the ai controlled pre-designed ships hold more modules than anything the player can design themselves) this keeps me from designing my own ships.
Can anyone who has downloaded the 2.0 beta confirm whether or not this issue has been addressed?
