Sorry your keyboard got broke. I am finding things out that are completely crazy. But I play a lot of games and am not getting mad at my equipment. The AI is some of the cheatingest AI I have ever seen. I could last longer in a Chess match against Garry Kasparov. I started a small map. Before my first colony ship could even find a class 15 planet, 1 quadrant away, here comes the enemy from at least 2 quadrants away, heading straight for the only good

Am I missing something? I started getting reports that `our spies have found minor race x (for example), has `y' new tech (for example). But I don't see any way to directly contact that race. I see no way to know where they are, either. Also, I never made any spies, or put any money in to espionage. How can I be getting these reports, but have no control over manually contacting these races, or knowing where they are. Obviously, if my spies know where they are

Selecting the correct items on the tech tree is the key to advancing your tech. You need to focus your research, so you can advance rapidly. It really helps to focus your planet upgrades so that research is maximized. My game against the Drengins, I had Battleships all over, they had nothing bigger than corvairs. I fell behind in colonization, because I got lazy with making new colonies, but I dialed in the research to perfection. This was on my 2nd game.

what I have found is that if you have any screens activated (planet screen, diplomacy screen, etc) the turn will not end. You need to click back to your galaxy screens, then the turn will end. Hope this helps.

That ability of the AI to know where the yellow stars are, should not kick in till a higher difficulty level. It's such an obvious thing. It makes the gameplay too stiff. Kind of like playing a grandmaster chess program. No human element to it. Maybe they can patch it down a little. I mean, you set the game difficulty to the easiest level, and the AI is obviously colonizing with 100% efficiency. There should be some slack in that respect on the first 2 difficulty levels. Adjust a differ

I've played/have both games. First of all, MOO3 is a great game, it just doesn't show through right now, the patch will bring it in to focus. GalCiv is awesome. The 2 games are different, have different design approaches. MOO3, you move between star systems along `star lanes'. GalCiv, you move on a completely open map. Both systems have pros and cons. GalCiv is a more `personal' game. You are absorbed in to it right away. It is more micro management than MOO3. <b

You need to load a new colony ship with population from the planet it's built on. click on a tiny ship icon, in lower right of screen, (after you select the new colony ship from the ships tool bar list.) then click on another tiny icon (with a green arrow on it) just to the right of that one - set your loading population with the slider bar, then press `launch' button. now the ship will appear on the map hah ha documentation is as bad as MOO3. these instructi

If you're going to compare something, at least compare point by point. Otherwise, your post as it stands looks like a fanboi post. Maybe GalCiv is better, but you have not shown, or proven anything, with your comments. I have also been playing MOO3 since release. GalCiv looks real cool. But there are significant differences in the 2 design approaches. You mention the battle graphics in MOO3, but not specifically any battle graphics for GalCiv. So your comparis

That's right. I want Galactic Civilizations NOW! You people have us all by the short hairs, because everyone wants it now. I've already pre-ordered a copy, and if it doesn't come soon enough, I'll probably spend another $50.00, and download it from your website. >:(
