You could create a shortcut to your Desktop folder on your dock and anytime something is added to the Desktop you could just open the folder and do as you wish with the new icon.

I don't recall seeing this suggestion yet so if I'm being repetitive, sorry. A visual indicator next to the Watchlist | My Posts links at the top of the page when there is a new reply. For watchlist it would be on the left, and my posts it would be on the right. I don't know if this is possible but, if you are on the site when this indicator is activated that should override the email notification of the new reply.

Not sure if this should go here or in requests but here goes anyways. Object edit is a good app, but it could be better. So this thread is for anyone to make suggestions for it. Another reason for a Dock Icon section... Pardon the blasphemy , and correct me if I'm wrong. Can't other dock programs use PNGs not just Object Dock? I don't know for sure since the only dock I've tried is the free Object Dock.

I think moving all the PNGs to a library named Dock Icons completely seperate from the Object Dock library ,would be a good start then the ZIPS containing dock icons which are left in the OD section could be sorted through later. I do think that the Misc Icons section should remain ICO only, and Dock Icons should have a section, if for no other reason than minimizing confusion for newbies. It may be a simple thing to convert a PNG to ICO, but for someone just getting into this stuff it
