So I bought Start8. Thanks for making it! Now that all Stardock software is on sale I'd reconsider buying something more. Which is the best way to get multiple desktops on Windows 8 with SD software? I'm particularly interested in one feature - I'd like to change between sets of open windows. I'd also be nice to be able to drag windows between sets (ie. desktops). Also: the more lightweight the better.
Good to hear that. I hope he won't stop working on the game once it's debugged. This game has such a potential (even for commercial release imo).
So I've played few times. Great game. Just as mqpiffle said: simple mechanics, yet challenging and enjoyable game. I wonder how many gems like this are there...
Has MoM vibe to it. Will try, thanks!
Hehe ... Wish I could tell you! [e digicons]:X[/e] It was worth trying! Fun times for strategy game fans, aren't they.
That's good to hear. Maybe one little sneak peek: turn-based or real-time? [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Oh, I thought OP was a pasted press release, so I didn't read it. [e digicons][/e] Strategy game = awesome!
" Mothership's first game, to be published by Stardock, is an imaginative science fiction game using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4 technology." Interesting. Unreal Engine means it probably won't be a strategy game (that would be Nitrous Engine I guess), but an action game. Or not. Can't wait to know more!

Thanks for answers.
The easy (and most accurate) answer is "when it's done". We're aiming for late-2015, but it's possible I push that back even further in order to ensure AtG is truly polished.
Releasing the game sets it in stone (to some degree). So take your time.
I doubt the majority of donations for Firefox come from Google since Google has a competing browser.
Look, it's a fact. Why do they do this? With this money they are buying the most simple thing: Google being default browser search engine in Firefox. That's it.
1. Are you willing to use Kickstarter platform in the future? You are one of those Kickstarter project creators who (will) deliver (vs those who failed, like guys that made CastleStory prototype and didn't make any real progress within a year and a half), so I'm sure people will trust you again. 2. When AtG will be released?

Desktops v2.0 is free because Microsoft wants it free (Sysinternals is their division). (Just like Firefox is free exists because Google wants it to.) Other software is free because programmer receives donations from happy customers. Yet another software is free because programmer gets revenue from ads on his/her site or in the program (adware) (as you said). etc.
I'm not sure what Desktops v2.0 does, but maybe try Fences by Stardock instead? That works well with Start8 on Win8.1. As well as making the fenced in areas, it allows dragging desktops sideways to setup multiple desktop views. If that is what the other program does, maybe that'll work for you?
It's the most simple multidesktop app. No dragging stuff between desktops, etc. just changing desktops
I've just started begun to use Start8 (and plan on buying it). I have one issue: it's not compatible with (I think) most lightweight multi-desktop app there is: Desktops v2.0 by Sysinternals. The start button doesn't work on desktops from 2 to 4, only on the first one. Could you f

Wall of Ice - impassable, but its parts can be melted down with some powerful fire spell. Pit - creates an impassable and very deep pit , killing everyone on the tile/tiles. Cannot be undone.
Just look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do-RQpQ3rDI
1. Asteroid spell - leaves huge, fiery crater. 2. Rise Sea Level spell - hide in the mountains (or build an ark) and drown your enemies! 3. Wall of Fire spell - creates wall of fire across all land. It's not impassable, but who will dare? 4. Dead Space spell - makes everyone in the area undead. 5. Lightning Force spell - makes huge damage to everyone wearing m
