This is just personal preference. I would love to have the Auto upgrade of buildings be 'off' by default. I know a few of us were wondering were all the durantium went after researching a better factory. I am part of the old school, let me micro each planet crowd. Can we at least put a setting in 'setup' to have auto upgrade all planets (on or off) at game creation? Happy Friday!
It's great to hear that founders will soon get access to a full fledged version of Super Melee. With any luck we might even have enough people to do some kind of friendly tournament hosted on the Discord server. The ship builder is sure to make even something like that more interesting than it would normally be. However, I confess that it is the adventure mode I am most looking forward to. For me it does not matter if the v

Those uneven trades are normal. The ai is angry with you in them thus the trades are overvalued and will never give you a good deal. I get very good trades when the ai's friendliness is on the other end of the bar. The game has come a long way since release.

Ok here we go. I do not work for Stardock. I do not represent Stardock nor am I affiliated with Stardock or any of its employees in anyway. So I am free to say what I think about your dissatisfied purchase. First off, the purchase is NOT thru Stardock its thru Steam, you need take this and your complaint and request for return to them. PERIOD END OF STORY. While Stardock has created the product, the transaction and any returns thereof are Steams liability no

When a civ is removed from game the only assets that should be created as pirates should be ships. All others, asteroid mines, Shipyards, Starbases, mining starbases all should be removed from the map. If the ship does not have an 'attack' value it too should also be removed (scouts, survey, constructors).

Looks good Gauntlet. How will your changes affect the Diplomacy feelings? @lyssailcor, after a couple of years many dlc and two expansions what are you waiting for to 'feel' that GCIII is finished?

Yea I have not seen any mega's either. I F***king hated Jagged knife. If the 'gamebreaker' events would wait until a predetermined turn or tech trigger then fine but to get Jagged or peace keepers 15 turns into a new game is pretty tough.

In the recent voice chat, it was mentioned that the story has been written for over 3 years. I agree with Coure, Story, dialogue and Flavor-text all are a substantial part of Star Control. I am looking forward to how the dialogue evolves.
I presume you're referring to Civ IV? Civ V and VI are soulless piles of crap, and provide a shining example of how to ruin an otherwise great franchise.
I beg to differ. Civ VI is perhaps the best of the entire series. I mod the warmongering right out and the fun is never ending. Much much better game without it. To each his own.

I will chime in here for Hyperspace. I agree with Volusianus on interpretation. I would like to see a red haze that you 'uncover' as you pilot your ship thru hyperspace, very similar to how FOW is removed in Gal Civ III. Initially you do not know where any stars are and will have to head off into a general direction blindly. Once you 'discover' a star, from that point you can 'click on it' and have the option to auto travel to it. I am positive this is NOT how Frogboy wants to i

Greetings folks. I had wrote a bit over on Discord and realized that it should be posted here. I have some questions about the engine itself which is running SCO. To my knowledge Gal Civ III was a custom engine that is now optimized (very very well) to utilize multi thread cpu's with really no limit on the number of threads it will use if you give it to the game. Ai determinations and many processes have now been off loaded onto its own thread. I daresay that thanks to the CEO o

Indeed, thank you for the link over in Discord. I have got my voice set up and look forward to seeing how things evolve and having the privilege and opportunity in participating in the process. I like the idea of ship construction. The engine and parts from Gal Civ III are perhaps the best ship designer on the market and I am eager to see what the modding community comes up with.

I simply changed the number you start with. I disliked it as artificial gate, especially on ludicrous map sizes. I modded it to be 39 I think. It really should be 50 like it was in Beta but I just kept at 39.

Greetings, So after a few articles it is clear that Stardock is actually hurting itself by rewarding its most loyal clients with beta access. Those of us (including myself) who have purchased into the Lifetime Founder package would normally get access to this game and others somewhere in the Beta process. By having this access we founders are not unable to have our review count on Steam. Its complete and utter crap as Steam 'thinking' that we somehow got access to the game for f

Moving forward, I have posted on Discord. While I will jump readily into lifetime founders with Stardock games. I would rather be able to give a good review of the game even if it means missing out on Beta (SCO???), but only if I can at least view and participate on those beta forums. Thanks for the update Stardock. As always your product is far better than most, and I only wish there was a way for me to distribute that enthusiasm I have for your games to many o
