Gravity is fact, darwinian evolution is religion. Darwinism is just something that sounds reasonable enough to believe in, but there's no conclusive evidence on its accuracy, same as any other religion out there.
Fact 1 - All life is born from other life through reproduction (You have parents, your parents had parents etc etc). Fact 2 - Archeological records show the further back in time you progress, the simpler

To continue with your Hollywood analogy, the game industry has hit the high concept period. Similar to the mid 70s with the advent of Jaws/Star wars in the movie business. Innovation and creativity are slowly being replaced with simple, easily accessable games that garner large audiences for little effort (creatively at least) and are supported by heavy advertising, hype and "brand names" (be it titles or actors). I think its merely a natural progression for any form of e
Odds are if you do upgrade, it would be advisable to go that little bit further and get a new CPU cooler to go with it. Don't want your fancy new CPU dying a year or two early thanks to stock cooling.
Dawn of War 2. If you're going to release a game...finish it first please! And it has such god aweful netcode you're lucky to get 50% of your 3v3 games finished without someone suffering the connection flood and dropping. Not to mention Steam -AND- GFWL being required. And where are my destructable bridges? :(
For your money i'd suggest looking at a 1GB 4670 which should hit your pocket for between £60-£70. A 512mb version would be fine, but depending on the resolutions you intend to run it at, more memory is better. It will also give you a year or two before requiring upgrading again. Have a look here at scan's website, they do some of the best prices (just order online! Queuing up there takes hours :( ) www.scan.co.uk <
Gravity is not a theory, its a fact. Just like evolution is not a theory, but a fact. The theoretical aspect of gravity is what exactly Gravity -is-. Hell, the fact you're stood on earth and not floating into space is proof of gravity. Now have you ever tried walking down the street and just looking around? We are habitual creatures unfortunately and often glance over wonderous things. Do you realise we made our own Caves? harnessed fire, created the wheel. History is repleet with ast
One of the problems is how the re-sale of items will be accomplished. If its left completely upto the publisher then you could see a large reduction in purchase costs (for arguements sake....20% of the original price) coupled with large increases in re-sale prices (2-300% on the re-purchase costs). As the only viable method of re-sale you will be forced to accept this. To get around that, you have to enable peer to peer sales (through GOO would still allow for a percentage of the re-s
I'm more interested in the mechanics of re-sale as this is all clearly an attempt to give the publishers a foothold in the second hand market. Will it be a fixed or a diminishing returns based system?

The biggest question for yourself would be the graphics card. Most laptops don't have the power in that respect to handle most high quality games. Luckily the engine us
