Allright so I messed around in the BIOS today and got it to work. Sort of. The boot device priority was set with the cd drive first. I changed it to the HDD first and the disc drive second and it booted up and worked. then we restarted it and it went back to not booting up. So Unless someone else has an idea it looks like a system restore is in order.

@joasoze - It's one of those You have to be connected to the interwebs at all times or you cant play kinda games. I enjoy pirating things with that bullshit on it. Only games I pirate. I'm not looking forward to this. ridiculous micro and clicking 200 times a minute does not make a fun strategy game. where is the strategy anyways?

A couple years ago I got an hp prebuilt PoS PC, which served me well for a while until I built my new rig. Now When I built the new rig, I gave the old HP PC to my girlfriend who's laptop died. In the last few days the HP computer hasn't been able to boot itself into windows. It gets to the windows loading screen with the green progress bar (but the windows logo isn't there) and will sit there forever. Upon a restart it asks if we wanna try a Safe reboot or something (not safe mode, it tries

Okay so I looked up the demo for HoMM 5 and I remembered playing one of these games (not sure which one, probably 2 or 3) when I was younger and loving it, so I think ima give that a go. Before I buy it tho, can anyone confirm if it (and it's expansions) works with windows 7? The demo did, but I've seen stranger things happen before. thanks. Edit: Also why does impulse only have the last expansion and nothing else? Whats up with that?

Well the demo of supcom 2 frankly sucks. I however love the full game, its got more depth than you can see in the demo, but it is not like the original. So if you are expecting more fo the same forget, its an entirely different game. Matches take usually about 30 minutes or so and the maps are much smaller. Its a slightly simpler and faster paced version of the original.

I'd be willing to bet most of those users never played it and theyre just giving it 0s because of the DRM.

I don't understand why everyone seems to think that this game has been "consolized". Diversity : The unit list was drastically reduced, scouts are gone, long range artillery is gone. Stealth and jamming was removed entirely. Intel is reduced to basically just the radar. On top of that formations and facing was removed. They increased the number of experimentals but many of them seem 'forced' rather than useful and interesting and with them bei

Looks to me like the OP is missing the point of the game (and obviously never played the first one). The game has massive battles with up to 500 units per side. How is that not a "unique feature"? And the graphics are not nearly as bad as you make them out to be. sure they don't blow my mind but they're much better than any CnC game especially the old ones.

you're the missing th point Kickacrip. Sure it's not a big deal, but the point is that policies like that are stupid and we shouldnt have to be carded for osmething as trivial as a video game if we're clearly above the age.

@vandenburg really? First of all he's running that video in fast forward, so it might seem fluid, but if you look closely there are many occasions where they all bounce off of each other and run around in circles for a bit before reorienting. Supcom 2 on the other hand has a very good pathfinding system that actually works well when they run into other groups of enemys and such. take a look at this

I have been tracking this game for quite some time. Didnt like the original too much, but I played the ps3 beta and the ps3 demo and finally picked up the game yesterday. I just gotta say that this game is amazing. The weapons feel perfect, just like they would in real life. People take what I feel is just the righrt amount of damage before they die, classes are balanced and have great diversity, (most) maps are good. The singleplayer is actually pretty good so far too, which is a huge surpri

Just finished playing through the demo, and I'm gonna agree with Scopeh. The Streamlining of the game IMO makes it more enjoyable and less confusing. I was one of the players who could only kinda get into supcom 1, because alot of the over complication. That being said, the players who really loved all the intricate complexities of supcom 1 will not like this one as much, but the rest of us will like 2 more. I'll definetly be buying day 1. And as for the graphics being worse, I don't

@Zehdon- In retrospect, I disagree with most of the things I said in the OP. But FYI there is no 360 Release. When I made this thread it had been a long time since I had played a REAL game of CnC, and recently have been playing various games of more classic Command and conquers and red alerts and what not, and I gotta say I just wont enjoy this game now. Small unit sizes no economy and just about no strategy is quite boring now IMO.

Finally! I've been waiting 12 years to play the exact same game with better graphics! As long as I still need to have an average Clicks per minute of 200 I'm sold! /sarcasm

@aeortar yea thats correct, there is absolutely no economy. I did just find out though that the persistence thing carries over from the campaign to multiplayer, so all the noobs will have played a bit of the campaign first before going into multi, so it's not all bad heh.

Got accepted to the beta the other day, and I hafta say that I actually like it. I was afraid that it would suck, and there are elements of it I dont like, but once you get into it its alot of fun. Now I know lot of people are pissed off cause they changed the formula, but honestly, the formula needs to be changed, CnC has been the same game with new graphics for like 15 years now. I wouldnt want to see all RTS' turn into this one, but it's nice for a change of pace. Now that
