Rather then sub resources I would like to see more unique resources scattered across the map. Something like spice in CIV?
"He who control the spice control the universe", another good game :).
Quoting Gwenio1, reply 59 It is a strategy game. Strategy = thinking. Adding someting else that a player can leverage to gain an advantage if they bother to think it through is therefore a good thing. It is also a 4X game, and the 3rd X is eXploit. eXploit is to gather resources and maximize the effeciancy of there use. If Frogboy means adding more choices to shaping your economy to maximize output and not just adding complexit
Well, if it include that we can have more than 2 opponent I'm in :).
Well, for me rigth now, I don't see the point in refining something into something to make exactly the same weapon/armor/amulet/etc than we have rigth now. I totally agree that, if you have, said a blacksmith, that you can refine the ore and make some iron to increase the strengh of the BASE weapon then I would totally agree. If you want to streamline just to streamline, said to make the claymore, you now need a ore pit, a smelter to refine the ore into a ingot and then a blacksmith to craft
Well, you get the same reward, but you got the xp too :)
After verification, you are rigth: I can't create a squad with karrazan sword... my bad :). By the way, I check my full equip compagny and it's 2.5K with 450 crystal to make them a force of 338 att and 795 def... so for about 1/5 price, I can have a kick ass army (but it cost me 25.4 gold upkeep). EDIT: wasn't secret police for not being spyed on and Galactic resort to boost your influence?
You can't creat a unit with this sword, as far as I know.
Well, there is a squad that I run into, scion squad that had this sword :)
Well, I'm still trying things out so my game last at least 1k turn... and I have time to have grand-children even if I marry at 150-200 turn (I forgot to marry early and even then, I dont use my offspring into combat) so it doesn't bother me. I play of course at Normal difficulty.
Good point there. I suppose howerver that the milita act as a support group and not as an actual army(what I mean is the militia have some power but cannot rivalize will a well train army). It's principally a way to reppel the wandering monster or, with some advance tech we can create a really strong militia?
Just to avoid any misunderstanding (to all the people asking in this thread): 1.1 -> Free patch which leads to the final version of E:WoM and will be the basis for a demo. 1st expansion: Addon which will be free for everyone 2nd expansion: Addon which will be free for everyone who purchased E:WoM until the 31st of october. Further expansions: ...will follow because Brad is addicted by its own Elemental
Quoting Goldmos, reply 8Should have an achievement to it: Congrats, you spend 12k on a sword What's the squad cost for the sword?
Not much, you see I created a squad with about everything I can put on them (include medical pack, amulet, ring, band and other thing) and cost me for a 12 man squad about 2K for an asthonishing 201 att and 302 def... 400 crystal if I remember correctly. BUT, I think I
I didn't see where I can put my registration for beta test... can't wait to play it. And, I also have the same question that Lantros have...
registered on impulse means it's registered, doesn't it... what other registration is there?!
When you purchase a game with impulse, you automaticly register your game. No hassle, no CD, no whatever need after that, just fun and download :) <
So frogboy, have you played a little of these save?
Should have an achievement to it: Congrats, you spend 12k on a sword :)
Well, it's because I have a friend that have the arkahm horror game with almost all the expansion and in one, he who is not to be named is bringed back with an act (The king in Yellow play)... so my guess was that it can be brought back with an act from his follower. Sorry if I'm wrong :). Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn my friend :)
Well, more powerful hero maybe not, but more powerful HIGH level hero yes. I see hero like in D&D: weak at first, but really strong as they level up. But presently, hero doesn't get really strong when they level... even their bonus don't have any boost with their level.
Well, for me it's building my city first, turtle a lot, improve technologie and after conquer if I feel so. So, my positive will touch mostly city building: 1) I really LOVE the way your city grow. It make sense that your city expand and take more tile as it grow. No suggestion for this one. 2) I like to see that you can only expand in your AoI and your building must touch the other. What i'd like to see is why sometime I can't build a building that consume only
Also another thing: the farest your town with your caravan is, the biggest the % bonus.
Probably, I didn't pay attention to be honnest :) Presently, there is not a lot of spell that come with the "new book". I dont even know if there is spell that come with the advance and expert spellbook...
I think the cullen inferno is in this book (volcano spell) but I don't recall any other...
Well, I bough one in my last game (yop, turtler and alliance type so no big army for me except at the end when I want some fun with the wandering monster) and doest nothing special exept the 14 atck
To answer your question: yes, they will rework the system in 1.1. Two big things: caravan wont produce food bonus (so if you want food, go capture some food ressource) and second: you'll be able to construct as many building of the same type in the city as you want if you have the people to run the building. So, if you build a really big city and have a mix of +x and +% in the same city AND you can build a lot of +x building inside the city it will become more logic and important to build some

Well, it's sure that making it optional would defenitly settle this :). But I agree with Nathikal: teleporting a superstack army doesn't mean that he will win. If you move your superstack army against his, even if he doesn't teleport, you'll end up encountering him sooner or later. There is always the "flee" option too if you're not confident but dont forget, the caster will have 15 mana less then your caster and that can make a huge diffenrence between victory and loosing. But like I said, m
