Try to lead a company yourselves, without all the "evil" copyrights that give you your legal rights for something you have made, and see for yourselves how frustrating and bad-for-business piracy can really be.Either your company will prosper, or it will fall. Depends on how many people actually buy what you have to sell.
Again this all comes back to the product of which they sell, piracy of their product can not be considered a loss until said pirate purchases some other
I'm sure the game is good for consoles, but I'm not sure why anyone would want a conzolized version of Civ4 ported back to the PC.
/thread no seriously. /thread I am playing Civ'Rev as i type this. And its fun and works perfect for the quick in and out console game play. But i also have Civ4 on my comp for the times when i want depth. long story short, play Civ4 its the same game but with more options.
ManShooter: ow, to both of those I really have to tell something obvious: A commercial item taken from a legal company for free IS a lost sale itself, and it causes some money to not be made, even when a copy is taken from the corporation.
Sorry, this is untrue. You want an example? ok I pirate Microsoft Office 07. Will i ever buy it? no. This is what society fails to realize along with the large companies that like to cry and whine about piracy. If you make a good enoug

@Slydrivel go back to 4chan and troll there, your attitude about piracy is that of some non existent guru. People pirate anything and everything. Internet piracy is just a new forum of it. It's always existed and always will. If companies understand that fact and just roll their shit out without DRM then if they make a quality product people will buy it. ps I pirate all the time and I could care less that all of you like to pretend you pay for everything you have. I'm sure you
Anyone remember what happened to the Androsynth in Star Control 2? Nightmare *something* from another dimension, that drives them insane and can appear no matter where they hide. I'd go with that... and then their planets get taken over by weird fish men who get all *frumple*
I played Ur-Quan masters if thats close enough lol
I'm shocked reading all these posts defending piracy. Stealing is wrong, no matter what the circumstances. It's not like this is a new concept either. Hammurabi's Code or Ten Commandments anyone?
I'm not even gonna get into the religious aspect of what you just said but think about this. In a world where IP(intellectual property) becomes increasingly pointless what are the smart people doing? They are listening to the masses that pirate music/software/games whate
Stardock/Ironclad should probably release it for PS3 just to make some $$$.If it were as easy as just 'releasing it' for wildly disparate systems, every software would run on everything
Hey you gotta spend money to make money. am i right guys????? Anyways as stated before you can most likely just hook up your computer to your TV depending on how old it is maybe but there are a few different hookups you can use. Being on a single ship like your talking doesn't really even fall in line with what the focus of the game is, however cool it would be to stand on the bridge and watch the battle unfold. I could see them adding some ship modding maybe even if its only cosmetic. They have done it before in galciv2 and Stardock has always been about making their products open to play around with. It's probably just a matter of time until they do something along those lines.
The high health compared to low dps is one of the more unique things about Sins imo. In many games, units can kill eachother in ~10-15 seconds, in sins it can easily take ~100 (this is 1v1, take cobalts for example). As such I hardly see why you are saying the health needs to be increased. Also, it appears you're saying that cruisers/frigates should be nerfed, and battleships should be buffed. If so, I disagree here as well. I currently think the capital vs frigate balance is quite good,
Go out and try it, maybe you'll be able to get a laugh out of making to people hate each other by placing bounty on their heads and make it look like they're doing it. I did that during my first game right before a pirate raid and the two were going at it in chat.
that right there is exactly why I need to give it a shot. Mind games are my favorite thing in the world. i think you converted me i think ill try it out this weekend after some more practice runs<br
