k, now with windows vista, had to copy appdata to desktop because cant find it via the path. i've got the bat file and the textures file in the SOASE folder, but i have to access the bat file to "run it" before it shows up in the game mods menu.
i'm getting winRaR diagnostic error messages. it wont even extract. oh well. stock textures it is. mods are such a pain in the *ss. Corrupted archive. I'm downloading from rapidshare to check whether it's only your download or my entire upload. I also mirrored the file at filefront. Try to re-download from there. If you have any secondary downloads running (especially torrents), I strongly suggest you to stop them for the time. EDIT: The
well, there goes that. i'm getting winRaR diagnostic error messages. it wont even extract. oh well. stock textures it is. mods are such a pain in the *ss.
downloading now.
ok, i want to download this but had a couple questions. on your screenshot on the far left, it looks like there is a fuzzy "bar" that runs down the screen over the star. I'm guessing this isnt noticeable when playing the game? do the star textures still boil and move? looks great otherwise!
can the update make the clouds on the planets thicker and whiter so they cover whatever they go over? that would look more realistic. of course it's not important though....
unless the expansion blows me away, i see myself playing this game a few years from now. this will never get old for a mental challenge.
Heres me at a Gamestop in Memphis, TN.
1-0 hawks already! down with the predators!
fascinating to me. maybe they are trying to rebuild thier reputation.
all of you are epic.
cmon, nobody foud this cool!
OK check it out. FYI, these are the two BEST books I've found in the last 2 years. I have read them OVER AND OVER again.. that is how good they are. grab these two. And check this out man!!! BG BABY!!! zoom in and read the caption. how insane are those images!
Look! more scale, like the video above. I'm reading a book right now that actually shows images of the surface of this star. I dont understand why those specific images are not on the internet.... Like I said, It's the only star that we have taken images of it's surface other than our own star. YOu know what, hang on, I'm gonna take pics of the images with my camera....gimm
Ha , im kinda embarrased at ours Heh, incredible video tho...
agreed, that video is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! betelgeuse(sp) is the only sun we have been able to photograph the surface of. because it's s
i know. the image scares the s*** out of me too. lol.
To add to this, for those that didnt know, this is a composite image of all the known galaxies in the Universe. The galaxies create a web of known matter, which is surrounded by "dark matter" that holds each galaxy together by pressure. It's almost like blowing up a balloon with stuff in it, and the stuff floating aound inside of it. expansion-wise, anyone want to add some facts?
You're right - never really thought about the fact that you can't ask them, force them to give you stuff for loyalty - what's with this one-sided relationship!
i believe that they said this may be a thing they will fix in v.103. not sure though and dont take my word for it.....sd, please let us initiate diplomacy. :)
I know most of us watch space week, and "The Universe" on Tuesdays, and read books on science and the Universe, so we all know lots about the Universe. However, this game has brought me even closer to our star. Just a few minutes ago I was sitting with my dogs on the couch and we were looking at the yellow behemoth as it shone through the drapes in the afternoon sky. I said, "Yes boys, that is the thing that gave you, me and mommy and grandma life!" I know that sounds wierd, we all
i found myself "lol-ing" into this thread but he's totally right guys. the closer planets are to a star, spaceweather can be a factor. changing everything in close. from research to resources, to travel everything. GREAT FN IDEA!
Here's me at Gamestop in Plainfield, IL on rt. 59 and 127th. Here's me and one of my employee buds there Josh. I wish the rest of the dudes were there, we could have all taken one, but Josh was nice enough to jump in the photo! Great store, great crew and I will never stop shopping at this particular store. High resources Slow gamespeed Normal research
Wow. And here I was only building 1 per planet. Noob.
yea but good luck getting enough slots to build more! i barely have enough slots to initiate research! literally i got like 3 trade ports in each star system. cause that's all i could fit.
