Still, though, they went over completely different themes. Quoting Polynomial, reply 134Do you like any games? Bioshock was an important game for the industry and one hell of a good game to boot. You're not prevented from doing this by not having the game somehow magically find you a clan. You just say "Hey, I play at around this time, who else that plays around there wants to start a clan?" on the forums or chat and yay? This is how it works in games that *have* clan support fe

[quote who="Annatar11" reply="28" id="2682282"]But for Elemental? There aren't going to be nearly enough people playing in organized clans and tournaments to warrant development time on these features. Maybe if there is big demand post-release they'll add it, as Frogboy said they're saving budget for MP additions if they're needed. But doing these up-front, and then ending up with nobody using them, is a waste of time and money. The game itself needs to appeal to clan play before clan su

This game is not a srs business multiplayer games guys. Its single player focused. Stardock has said from the very beginning this game is all about the single player. Multiplayer just happens to be there.

I think THIS is the main reason people can't see video games as art. In the video game world, it's a constant rat race to get to the next prettiest game, instead of trying to develop the next greatest game. Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment are works of art in the gaming world. The

Maybe because i dont need stat juggling, stupid loot lists (especially in Sci-Fi games) or useless skill lists in my RPG's. JMHO of course. PS: Also i find the ME triology story leaps and bounds better then the BG story. Never ended BG2, so i cant comment on that one. I highly doubt you pla

Would you buy a Twilight RPG from bioware? lol You can only play a female char and you have to choose between furry or goth culture before the final showdown with your own soul! FWIW, I've stated a few times on my blog that Bioware is my favorite game developer. I'll bu

[quote who="larrypeters" reply="74" id="2679235"] Quoting Polynomial, reply 69I really don't agree with you. I feel Mass 2 is a smooth improvement over the first game. All that's really different from the 1st game is the wonky inventory system. Technically speaking, Mass 2 is a strictly better game than the first. Its better written, better shot cinematically, has way better audio and plays much better as a third person shooter. Bioware really hasn't failed in maintaining excellence.<br

You make some valid points regarding keeping Dragon Age and Mass Effect as separate identities. But a lot of things, espcially the dialogue in Dragon Age felt antiquated compared to Mass 2. It was KOTOR. Dragon Age needs some modernizing outside of just the gamplay.

What I'm saying is you seem to be providing EA as an excuse for decisions out of Bioware that you don't like. I for one think the changes to Dragon Age 2 are good. Dragon Age felt like an antiquated game next to Mass Effect 2.

Baldur's Gate was good when it came out. For example, the memory of playing Goldeneye far outweighs actually playing it. I think some people are mixing in nostalgia when it comes to bashing Mass Effect and Dragon Age. KOTOR was the first Bioware game I actually played and I thought nothing could ever be better, but the Mass Effect games are.
