For those of you that know me I'm back sort of. Dial is even worse after being broadband for so long. Very soon I should be putting up new work. Finishing up some graphics for my customizable car stereo. Been away and internetless for so long everything looks new here. Did however get to meet one of us in person for the first time for both of us. I met Brainiac.

Have not been here in quite a while for good reason. For those of you that remember me, I came back from Afghanistan obviously from the messageboard. I went on my second honeymoon cruise, came home and went to a military school for a month. I came back to a house that was no longer my home. It was minus my wife and her things she had moved away. I had only a few days to move out. I was a full time housewife and Mr. Mom to our son Jonathan(now 2 yrs old) and then instantly homeless and jobles

this is going to be really long and may start some controversy, but here's a little of my journal for those that want to know a day in the life... Since being here we have had a few rocket attacks at our base, but the intended target has typically been the airfield rather than the billeting areas. The danger to us is the fact that the rockets are poorly aimed. The launch site for the rockets is usually just a mound of dirt pointed in our direction. Its aimed in the general location o

hey kidpickles I'm in the middle of the litterbox and dust of Afghanistan with no family during the christmas holidays. Catching rockets flying randomly at our base never knowing where they might hit.One place is as good as the next. Its Christmas. Just because an unperfect woman is wrecking you life, doesn't mean a perfect God doesn't love you. Cheer up it will get better. I guarantee it.

Jafo, a very "choice" friend to have. "cheers" for all the help and support you give. "no worries" for all the flak you catch here. "joyous christmas mate" Sorry spent a week with the Kiwi's and picked up a little of the dialect.

Just to let you know if you see it looks like I'm talking to you its because my wife may come here on my user name and converse with me. I hope that it will not be a problem w/admins. We'll keep it to a minimum if at all. just to let you know. On a lighter note. A lot of Christmas gifts are coming in country for the afghan children. Also you don't hear on the news about all the letters and christmas cards sent from children and total strangers. I got a letter from a 7th grade mid

Here's what I do http://www.geocities.com/jhreid2/ There's nothing political about a man thousands of miles away from home, wife, and son at Christmas. This thread is my way of keeping a link with the outside world and friends that have a common bond artwork and skinning. If you wish to complain that's fine its your freedom of speech(USA) that I am defending here anyway. Oh yeah its to misspelll stuff for Jafo <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab

Wow I knew I had a few friends, but this is cool. Actually use prayers for my wife as our son will not be home for Christmas with her either. He has gone to relatives due to her work schedule and my deployment. everything is fairly safe where I am now, but in the next couple of days I will be going "downrange" or going "into harm's way" for a little while. http://www.geocities.com/jhreid2/ [Message Edited]

Hello all. I am now skinning computers here in Afghanistan. Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us in Operation Enduring Freedom. Just thought I'd drop a line for those who know me. By the way did UZZEE say he lived here? I'll find him! Maybe he's with OSAMA. Seriously can I use my object desktop on two computers? One at home where I am obvoiusly not, and one here downrange?
