so, Can I upgrade my video card? My game did the same thing
That's up to you. By getting a newer video card (that supports shader 2.0 or better), you'll not only be able to play our game, but other new games as well. If you have room for more RAM then that's always a recommended upgrade too, and easy to install. But in general, there is not much downside to upgrading your hardware, other than maybe the fact that it does cost you money.
Everything is okay and I played through a whole campaign already. Thanks for your support.
Awesome! Good to hear. :)
version 7.12.0010.1147 is the version you have right now. An updated driver would have a different, higher number. CodeCritter has already linked you to the page for your particular video card, all you have to do is find on the page a link for your appropriate OS - Vista. Let us know if you have any issues.
The digital version for the PC version doesn't seem to be available any more for purchase
Oh, bummer. It is on the 360 though. I know a few of us from the office play it on that as well when we're at home.
Yeah I know, minimum requirements. Do you have another computer you could play it on?
I borrowed Advance Wars for the GBA from BoogieBac like a year ago. I finally got around to playing it this weekend. It's pretty fun.
Strangely enough, I played Carcassonne. What a surprise find for me.
Awesome. Carcassonne is great. Digital version or board game? A few of us here at the office play the boardgame version every day at lunchtime.
When the game starts all I see is a white screen
A white screen means video card problems.
Card Name: Intel(R) 82852/82855
The game requires you have a video card that supports pixel shader 2.0 or better. According to Intel's site , your card does not support it. Sorry for the bad news. Please see this sticky post for more details. (if link does
There's one at GameTrailers.com too. Here's the link Vote on it and leave comments if you feel so inclined. Thanks!
No Rock Band fans out there?! Craziness.
Hrmm, that's very odd. Could you post a screenshot of what is happening? Also, it will be helpful for us to see the contents of your "debug.err" file. The file can be opened with notepad and is located here: "my documents/my games/polmachine2008/". Regards, ~C
I can see the update on the website, but it does not give me the option to download it. It gives me the options of 1. Forum 2. Ignore this update 3. Un-install
CrsB7143VT, It sounds like the "website" you are referring to is the Games or Updates tab of Impulse. When you select a game, in the right pane it will have the name of the game, its size, the installed version number, and t
If I use TGN tokens at the web site to buy NotMoM2, will I be able to use Impulse to keep the game updated after y'all take down the SDC servers?
I don't see why not. Just like you can buy PM2008 with tokens and use Impulse to update it. PM2008 is only available on Impulse (not SDC), so it's the perfect example.
hats good to know, I was unaware of that. When I bought a 360, not the core version but the "more" expensive one (it was white) it did NOT have a HDMI. You had to buy the "Elite" (black) to get the HDMI. So if they are standard now on all the 360's, good!
yeah I bought the same version as you (Pro version) at launch. At the time, it was the best version. It has a hard drive and no HDMI ports. I've heard that they DO come with HDMI ports now, but that doesn't really help
I played some Puzzle Quest, Zuma, Rock Band, GH2, and a quick game of PacMan, all on the 360.
That is definitely Monopoly man! Hey, isn't there a monocle piece that you could give him?
At $349 I can easily put together a 3870 core 2 duo system wth more ram and bigger hdd then a 360
Well that may be true, but the issue at hand isn't that he wants to buy a 360 because it's cheaper than building a PC or even that he's not going to still be a PC gamer. He wants a 360 because he wants to do some gaming on a console, and this is the one he's thinking about getting. You can be both a PC gamer and a console gamer. Don't be so narrow-minded. &n
I read an article on it awhile ago in Game Informer mag. Sounded pretty sweet. Thanks for the reminder. When does it come out?
Rock Band 2 tracklisting was announced . Every single one of them is a master track (not a cover band doing the song). There's some reallly great stuff here. Plus for the 360 version, all the DLC (downloaded content) is compatible with RB2. Which is amazing. On top of that, they've said that they've come up with a way for users to transfer all of the on-dis
it's actually only $50 a year, so like $4 a month. And about the batteries for the controllers... I bought this recharge kit after about a month of replacing AAs. It comes with a rechargable battery pack, but if you want more than one, they are only $12 each.
I have a 360, and I really like it. Have had it since launch. Most of my friends and coworkers now have one too. Let us Stardockians know if you get one Kryo, and we can do some online gaming. ~C
The debug.err file is located at "my documents/my games/polMachine2008/". The file can be opened with notepad, and its contents can be posted when you report problems. The file will have your PC specs in it, as well as game messages that we can use to track down issues. In this case, a white screen when you try to run the game means you don't have a new enough video card. As boogieBac says, you have to either get yourself a new card (which can be a pretty cheap investment) or you can c
Charlesmyk1, You can get updates to the game by using Impulse, our downloading application. -If you bought the game at a store, it should have installed Impulse for you when you installed the game. -If you bought the game via our website then you would have gotten an email telling you to use Impulse to download and install the game. In either case, run Impulse, and go to the Games tab (or
We're glad you appreciate the GalCiv2 reference in the game. We put it in there for people just like you. :) We are mulling over some ways to add replayability to the game. Extra scenarios has definitely been mentioned. Mega events are an interesting idea.
