Well said Xiandi.. when WILL they get it?
Indeed, it is the epidemic of poor people gaming the system that has brought the United States to the brink of economic collapse. Surely the economic issues of the day have not been brought to us by first class citizens in the banking profession who used regulatory loopholes (ie GAMING) to pillage our global economy. Gaming the system happens at every level in society

Please justify your statement that the current unfinished health care proposal, if enacted, will kill the economy.
He cla
I have noticed the AI do peace deals that are pretty extreme as well. I believe that they do a computation based completely on military strength and forces lost. I was able to destroy a minor races starbase, take the resource, then extort them for tons of cash and all their technology, just because my forces were powerful in comparison. I find it strange that there is no way to enforce peace treaties (such as not being able to atta
They use escorts sometimes, but they're usually extremely extremely weak fighters.
I have played my last few games against all intelligent opponents. I have noticed them doing several things that arent too bright. 1) Sending out troop transports with little or no protection. Very easy to bait the enemy into sending tons of unprotected troop transports at a particular planet by moving your defense ships out of orbit and into an adjacent square (making the planet appear undefended, however in actuality there is a fleet sitting right beside the planet but the compu
I had this problem a few times. I can tell you exactly when it happened. I was having the mouse cursor freeze problem, when it happened the cursor itself froze but it was still there, only invisible. I could then save my game and exit out for a reboot (only way to fix the mouse.). However, when I got back into the game and tried to load the game I had saved, it was corrupted and the game crashed to the desktop. I had to delete the save. This happened to me twice, and I noticed the c
I had a similar problem. The way I eventually fixed it was to abandon that game and start over. Not sure if theres a fix aside from that. My problem was that the load would take forever, and my planets no longer produced ships, even though it said it had 0 weeks remaining to produce.
Perhaps they removed the pre-release stuff in order to put up the released version. However, it would be nice just to say that rather than being coy. I am having the same problem (trying to install on my laptop as well) but the movies and tutorials folders disappeared. So in my wisdom I uninstalled the game, and now its gone. Reinstalled the stardock software, still gone. Registered, still gone.
Ok so they appear, but I guess what im asking as well is do they participate? What if there is no defending fleet? And thanks for the responses.
I have seen lots of screenshots of ship vs ship battles in GalCiv2 (and they look very nice). Havent seen any starbases involved in any of them. What happens if an enemy attacks your starbase? Do we go to the combat viewer? Or do we get a GalCiv1 type animation (that would be a shame). Thanks!
