This game may admittedly have more bugs than some releases - thats not in doubt, but its better balanced than any. I have yet to see an unbeatable strategy or a vastly overpowered weapon.Although Nano Rippers etc could be pushed one step back up the tech tree. What annoys me is people saying crap like "Its the buggiest game i've heard of/played/owned". Where to Start, even recently? Battlefield 2 anyone?

Engines don't affect your combat status, and each ship gets one attack "per turn" as such. You don't get extra attacks if you move faster. Also, how is that possible? The enemy has 6 attack vs your no defence, and heavy fighters. You can hit at a theoretical maximum of 1hp per round, per ship. Using base HP's thats 5 turns to take off 30HP - 3 ships, 10hp. In their case, you also have 36hp - 6hp per ship, 6 ships. However, they have 6 attack and can do a theoretical max of 6dmg, each Thats not e
I dont get it; This would be classified as a game ruining bug and should be stickied (referring to RemyAF), but how come ive not seen it in all my metaverse games or any of my normal play games? even once? and I assure you, im sitting on about the 40 mark. So strange.
Did you save, then patch, and try and reload? Also, post your debugg.err file, and last but not least, a post like this is never likely to get a response. Ever. As its, how shall we put it, "Immature as hell". A well thought out post does wonders, as do manners and patience.
I found that building FAST cargo ships with 4 x type 4 phasors from the beginning tends to win me the game VERY easily! I have yet to see the dreadlords even use defensive tech yet, they put everything into weapons. Yet another exploit that works wonders... Sod the big hulls, all you need is plasma/phasors/warp drive
Perhaps they missed "starting" before "planet quality"
All well-documented bugs, repeatable and I'm sure Frogboy mentioned they'd be fixed in 1,1
You want a bug? Try Rome Total War v1.0 Retail only letting 30 people into the online entrance lobby at once, and crashing instantly when 30 people were in. If you're going to rant, do it right. Quit whining about bugs without naming a single one, update your drivers and stop talking mush. If you're fed up with the replies you're getting, stop posting. The replies aren't going to change because you seem to have failed to make a si
Doesn't sound like hardest to me, they attack you even on beginner if you don't have a military well before the "middle" of the game.
It makes all tiles that need improvments, already improved. So to speak.
Mostly a test post. Also, they don't show up when you make a topic (IE the first post, the "topic" post) only in replies.
"Strategic" ground combat - Read, not "tactical". Choosing where to invade, what to invade, in what numbers, with support troops (A la moo3) with tactics that suit terrain (and don't suit) etc. Would be a great addition.
I know about MoO3 being playable, I was really into it at one point and wrote a few econemy articles on various fansites (Only busy one though was Moo3.at). I agree though, the games focus isn't combat and trying to push tactical combat upon it would change it a lot.
Negative. A semi-rant because I'm fed up with them and would rather see people posting proper bug reports instead of yet another "add x feature from moo2" thread. Didn't mean it as a debate or anything.
Ok; Heres a query for you all. What game, that the majority of us here absolutely love, is - 4X, Turn-Based and Lacks tactical battles. In fact, it lacks anything close even to what GC2 has. The answer? Civilization. I don't see you complaining about Civ4 not having Total War-esque battles. I think you've lost sight of what Galactic Civilizations 2 is. It ISN'T a Master of Orion 2 Clone. It ISN'T the long wished for "True" Mas
Um, it works perfectly fine here?
The area you influence on the map isn't exactly the same as your overall influence, just a guide of where your influence is stronger.
It's a DLL needed for Stardock Windblinds I think. Assuming you have the GC2 desktop theme installed? It's not malware.
I got Kelewan in a random universe I think, I recall seeing it.
I vaguely remember seeing intelligent. But Im crap and I play on normal and challenging only :>
I don't remember being female or male being a cosmetic concept in real life Why is it cosmetic in game? Reminds me of a quote by an author named Robin Hobb (female) - "It's all just plumbing"
Yeah I pretty much agree. One of my mates is a freelance reviewer for PCZone UK (Michael Filby if anyone reads it). Got him to have a glance at GC2 and he's well impressed. And i'm pretty sure he'd try to cut oin that reviewer for such a poor review. I mean, lets face it. My grasp of the fundementals of game reviewing is tenuous at best, and I could pull a better review out of my rude places. Also, last time I did a review (of Rome total war
Just had a look on some "unsavory" websites. There are about 400 people illegally sharing/downloading GC2 on that one alone. Workmates really into his music piracy (he was nearly fired for downloading it in work) and has some sites like that bookmarked. Not a good thing, but sales are way way outstripping the piracy. I remember being told that apparently the new need for speed pc had over 50k illegal downloads in its first week and GC2 is selling nearl
Documented problem that they've got fixed in the new patch release I believe. But your game might be lost
