holy moley is this long. The horse is not just dead, it's in bits and pieces. They aint changing the about doc and I don't blame them. I used Talisman and prefer DesktopX. The reason I do is that Talisman takes over Windows completely. DesktopX can do as little or as much with your desktop as you want. I also found DesktopX much easier to do stuff with.

I downloaded the new Talisman beta over the weekend and played with DesktopX. I dont' use either very extensively but I prefer DesktopX because it's much more flexible. Talisman takes over the desktop completely. DesktopX can do as little or as much as ya want.

ya ya ya. all that is well and good but you may just discover that people will find something else to do with their time. i'm not going to pay for 'content'. it's not worth anything to me. I would pay for a t-shirt or mug from this site because I get something in return and know that i'm helping a site I really enjoy but i would never just pay $5 per month to be on some website.

i think the cat is on the right frame of mind. if you make a comment and people find it helpful for them to click on it and say so. i also don't think that skinners should ever be in a spot where they've gotta pay to get the full benefits of the site. I don't understand. wincusto isn't a major skin site? I see 1000s of skins up on the left with 1000s of people downloading. I use ICQPlus and Windowblind and this place has the most skins with more new ones than anywhere.
