Pretty much everything you said, Brad. Except for RightClick. Must have running... WB LogonStudio Rain* DX CursorXP I change what icons I can, and just started using OD and AveDesk last week! Lastly, I change the walls at least once a month. Oh, and I dislike having to get on the nasty, Windows-default family PC. *shudders*

Cool, I was hoping for a thread like this! Well, for myself, I bought my XP about 6 months after release (wanted to make sure enough bugs were out of it...yeah, right). I was interested in its features, so I bought the premiere issue of a lil magazine called Windows XP , beginner level. I was flipping through the Speed Up section, when I came
I think a better fight would be Vader vs Terminator. Meh, maybe not. While we're on the subject... I have nothing against Samuel L. Jackson - I love every movie he's been in - I just dont think he fit in SW.
Ah, Skarnivorous beat me, but has the correct solving method. His formulas appearance looks much better, so I'll only add this check... logbx = (log x)/(log b) = (ln x)/(ln b) = ln(10)/ln(1.011579454) = 200
I just dl'ed it, due to some comments in some ss's. I have a few questions before launch, though. - Will I have to configure anything during install that I wont be able to get to afterwards? - What normal settings work best for you (that do have it)? - Anything else that may be tricky that I should know about? Im asking because what I have read about it, it seems a little tricky (i.e., minor conflicts here and there
You are not alone, horiz0n. Its a never-ending battle resetting it from Sort by > Name to ...Modified (my setting). Hmmm...3 yrs old an already a case of Alzheimers. Bad XP! Bad!
...with all the garbage they hide and cram down your throat without your knowledge. My sister had it and it took days to free up her machine and clear out all of the JUNK! *tri1ogy is happy he doesnt use that stuff* email is all I need, or care to use <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles
About post 34, Im with Weaksid. I breezed through that puppy, lol.
I heard about this and seen it on the news. How stupid. Even more, Congress actually listened to this guy? Freakin' hillbillies. I suppose its too late to sign the petition.
*nods in agreement to everything said*
Dr. Guy: I'll just say I agree. KarmaGirl: It is green.
I only use forum-based IM'ing, otherwise...not interested.
That was a challenge? Those were easy. Im sure Jafo aced it, too...
As far as wiping the wrong things..I have put that to the test and used it as wrecklessly as possible and have had no problems... He he...well, thanks again!
Wow! I decided to dl and try out Ccleaner last night. I'm impressed. One thing: I dont know everything, but I'd say I'm knowledgeable when it comes to computers. Is there a help forum for this? Dont want to wipe out the wrong things. Thank you, thank you. Did I already say thank you? I'm definitely going to use this on my friends Dell! <img
On their bad days their app will absolutely hijack any and all media formats on your PC if they want to I forgot about that, but that is true here. *waves hand in air* For the longest time, I couldnt figure out why nothing would happen in my WMP, or why I couldnt burn discs. I removed Real and guess
Thank you all for your time...I know that was a rather windy post, lol. tjesterb: I actually thought about that. Since it was mentioned here, I'll do it this weekend. Scribe Larry Kuperman: Sounds like a great idea to me. I dont think he'll go for spending any money, but back-ups are definite (ran outta time Sunday). Their PC is mainly for emai

I spent this weekend repairing a friends Dell. A family PC with 5 accounts. Quick background: someones brother came over and went to an adult site. The only security was Nortons Anti-Virus - and some kind of pop-up blocker (Defender?). And no, the guy didnt make recovery CDs either. Well, this wasnt how I was planning the repair, but... Here's the story: First thing I did was get rid of any malicious desktop shortcuts and
I'd like a widget that shows your shutdown options. It could be situated horizontally and/or vertically, and could be minimized to the system tray. Perhaps it could let you decide the amount or type of buttons to be visible. I just think it would be cool to Log Off or Hibernate (my fave) from the desktop - from a 'shutdown widget'. *looks around* Im probably all alone on this, ha ha.
Happy 24th!
Great advice above, but if you reeeally want to see the viewer (lol) you can try either of the following: 1. Click START > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Clipboard Viewer 2. Click the Start menu button and open My Computer. Open your C drive. Double-click on the Windows folder. (You might have to tell it to let you see what's inside.) Double-click on the System32 folder. (Again, you might have to tell it to l
Hacking is only 'cool' (I suppose) in the movies. As for the 'speak', well, I agree with Hippy. Judging by clues alone, I'd guess you are fairly young. Try spending some time in Photoshop and create an original idea. And not to seem hypocritical, but yes I broke down and used a one vs. an ell in my screen name. This wasnt meant for cool points or 'the speak', I just wanted the name. *stands in the corner*
