Ok, so esencially a basic factory that adds like +10mp has an effective maintenance cost of 10bc. I dought a single factory costs 10 BILLION CREDICS to support EVERY TURN. Wow, and for only a measlly 10 extra mp...awsome. this means that in one year it cost 520 billion credits to run a single factory. That should be one bad ass factory.

Its surprising cause they fail to mention this anywere -it is also surprising becuase it limits the way you play the game to only one way. An economic jugernaught. --NO im not surpried that the economy has to support the buildings, but I thought that was the point of buildings having a MAINTENANCE COST
Im really in shock that you have to pay for this stuff --This means that you can't have high industry of reasarch without having a die-hard economy. This gives a huge advantage to those that have a economic bonus, not to mention it means there is only one way of playing the game. No offence, but I don't think I can play this game anymore.
that doens't make sence at all. so whats the point of building anything as far as social buildings like factories or reaserch centers if you have to pay for what they give you. -That manufacturing capital has a maintance cost of about 100bc a turn because of this, WHY. whats the point of having a maintanance cost on anything if you have to PAY for what they give you. Isn't that maintance enough. --Whats the point of building any social project except for ones that increase your econom
This is fairly early on in the game. Ok so I was making a pretty good +40bc a turn. Well I built a Manufaturing capital on one of my planets, and now im loosing 50bc a turn. This doesn't make any sence at all. If the increased manufacuring causes my spending to go up, this is completely stupid. I mean whats the point of building it if im going to have to decrease spending in EVERYTHING just to get me back to a positive economy. If what I said is the case, that really needs to be changed. se
These two things arn't really bugs, but they are something really annoying that needs to be fixed #1- On alot of plantes when you click on their ocean tiles, I.E. the ones in a large body of water, The game lists them as Prarie or sometimes even desert. This is pretty stupid since it is clearly not a prarie and 100% not a destert #2-When you go to buy a ship or upgrade one, the companies for each buy option are the same for every race. I find it hard to believe that microso
so exactly what do the reasorses do, or what effect do they have.
On gigantic though, even with abundant stars and planets, there huge gaping holes empty of star systems throughout the galaxy. -I think I've decided to only play on large from now on.
lol, what awsome reasoning .....NO, I WON'T TAKE YOUR MONEY
double-post sry
I had a similar problem, but it was a little weirder. I decomissioned the wrong fleet, so I loaded an auto-save. Well from now on, for some reason, saves from that particular game take forever to load, and when they finally do load, my culture is darastically lower. Also the game has some how progressed several turns......like I said...weird.
Just a quick, and probly stupid question. -If the other empires attack you if you have undefended planets, would it be a sound strategy to have your ships not protecting your planets, but close enough to defend, thus causeing them to declare war, making you look like the good guy.
Im a little confused as to the exact difference bettween the Galaxy sizes past large. It seems like Huge has the same number of stars/star systems as large, but theres just more space between them. Gigantic is the same, just with more space than even huge has between the star systems, but again, not really more. In gigantic theres TONES of empty space. That gets pretty annoying as it kind of defeats the purose of having more that large. -Note: In galaxy set up I have the number of stars and
More UP meetings, or maybe more than one thing to vote on at these meetings. I find it hard to believe that all the leaders of the galaxy assemble only once every 30 weeks (i think thats right) to discuss just one thing. Also, the ability to select topics to come up for vote would be cool. maybe if you were president of the UP
what exactly is the advantage to a larger population.
One quick question/complaint -On my third attempt on normal I noticed that the computer was throwing out colony ships much faster than me(In the beginning of course). I finally figured out that they were buying colony ships from the start. This is quite annoying, because I haddn't even thought of. Granted I now have learned this tactic, It kind of scares me to think of all different strategies I can't contemplate. My question-exactly how many tactics does the computer on normal know c
Ok, My first game I played on beginner (the level before normal). In that game I completely dominated. Well I've started a couple of games on normal now, and I just get completely beaten for the most part. Even when I get a good starting point, I still seem to somehow get far behind everyone else in everything. Surely one change in the difficulty level isn't enough to accound for this. My question: Do I just suck at this game, or is there some important strategic changes I need to make from begi
so am I just screwed
This really driving me crazy, does anyone have any sugestions at all
Wow, so I have to start over
can no one help me
not sure why that posted two times
im haveing some major game issues. Ok, my culture was the #1 in the galaxy. then everyone experienced a major cultural jump. for whatever reason, my culture "golden age" stoped before alot of the other peoples. Thats not a huge problem, but then I accedtally decomissioned one of my good fleets. Well I tried to load and experienced a major game glitch. For some reason it now takes my about 15 minutes to load, and when I do, the game has progressed several turns from when I acctually saved it. I h
Also as far as I can tell the +90 only works once. AKA- if you hit it once it goes +90 degrees, but if you do it agian, it goes back to the orriginal. With the -90 if you do it twice it'll do total -180.
you can questamate, or do what I do. Quicksave, construct it, and then load if I don't like it
