No thoughts, latour, on the alleged reasons behind the French policy? No attempt to defend the French policy? No explanation of how the French policy is a righteous policy, and how this document-forging thing, ugly as it is, is a necessary part of that policy? No counter-examples? Nothing at all to convince the rest of us that th

I dont want you to do anything. I would like you to read and learn about stupidity. If you can do that, then you can understand the meaning of this article. Sorry, I was referring to stutefish who seemed to want me to run in and start defending those who forged documents about WMDs.

Yeah, an update...yeah, that's what they need. How about an update that keeps 100 million people from dying in the name of Communism? That would be a nice update. How about an update that admits that the whole shebang doesn't work unless you can find a country where human nature took a hike and everyone is willing to earn the sam

LW, this was a crowd of 600 in a city of over 300,000. That's like 0.2 percent. If you had every (or at least the majority) of black people out in the streets smashing stuff, then I would agree wiht you, there is a rampaging horde. But here, there are just a few people pissed at the Nazis and the police who were (supposed to) protect them and allow them to march and spout off all this hate directed against them, getting out of control. It's not a u

BS, you have a good point. Marx's teachings are almost 150 years old now, and there are a lot of things that happened that he couldn't/didn't predict. I am starting to feel that although a lot of them are still valid, they are in dire need of an update. But, you have just inspired me to write something, which I will work on over the winter, or at least once these damn midterms are done.

The problem with this is it basically criminalizes going to the bar. I mean, Thursday all my exams are finished, so ifI goto Wise Guys or the King's Head, I have to get home. No matter what my method of transportation (probably "walk" a half block to the bus stop, sit for 10 minutes, sit on thebus for about 45, then walk a half block back home), I probably have to spend at least few minutes outdoors in a public area to get home. Therefore, by going t

French, German or Polish (possibly Jewish, we're still not too sure about this side), and some Metis. I usually just say Canadian, or occasionally, just to mess with people, I say African (what? Technically, since pretty much all human life started out in the Great Rift Valley...)

Lets see here, what has been going on recently...Millions More March, the Nazi rally in Toledo. Two conflicting rallies...one about "Black power" and one about "White power." What does Black Power really mean? I think at the heart of it, it is not so much of a movement to gain more power than what is due, but a crusade to protect the minority black populati

So I was watching the news last night (now that the lockout is over, I can watch the CBC without feeling guilty or seeing more recycled BBC programming than normal), and they were showing scenes from the earthquake. I think they were in Muzaffarabad (I know I butchered the spelling on that one), or some village near it (just up the mountain). One interesting thing c

But seriously, I recently bought a WW2 grand strategy game called Hearts of Iron 2, and that picture seems familiar in the game. I don't know where it was in the game, though. I think it was in the background somewhere in the main menu.

Actually, I am sick and tired of having people demand we rack our brains to try to find good things about Bush, and saying if we have trouble with it or don't feel like playing your game, all liberals are crazed idiots full of hate. Finding three things you like about Bush doesn't prove you are more intelligent than someone who i

I never understood why Clinton was classified as Left. He's a Right winger who talks the talk of the Left. So he bought a copy of a few Left-wing texts and then regurgitated them, that doesn't make him Left. Looking south, I see two parties. The right wing, socially conservative capitalist party, and t
