Your fourth amendment right is now moot and the government can go through your mail and check your library records and secretly arrest you and hold you indefinently, etcetera, etcetera... Sure, nothing's changed Sorry I missed that one Deference. Good point. But personally I think it's the new laws ar

If Bush had gotten a purple heart in Vietnam, you guys would be wetting yourselves in every 60-second spot. But he didn't get a purple heart, did he? Say, where and when did Bush serve again...? Hay man, can you tell me how many medals George Bush Sr. or Robert Dole earned during WWII? No you can

You are right about the Vietcong as well, but it stands that the majority of those in Vietnam did not agree with our view on how things should go in their country. Hay, I have no beef with any country where the people have a free choice to elect who represents them (Democracy, Republic and some types of
I think the writers of the constitution really meant "The right to Arm Bears". They just wanted the bears to have a sporting chance. I just think someone at the print shop got the words mixed around.
unless all European nations are completely impotent. Sad to say Messy, but yes they were. Originally we left it for the Europeans. They all took different sides and could not get to gether and work it out. After the polls showed that over 50% of the US population wanted to help a few
Deference I like how you think and you got some good points. I still don't agree with you though. Afew things I have to disagree with: the Vietnamese people wanted communism, not democracy The war started back with Kennedy. Do I think (if he had lived) he would have conducted the war
All of the replies above are correct based on ones political position. That is why I asked for what your politics from the start. My opinion is based off of a long study of History. It shows which wars, if not fought, would have ultimately destroyed the country by itself. I personally think that many of the "want to" were still right to have been fought. So please put your two cents in.
“I will bring this country back to the time honored tradition of going to war only when we have to and not because we want to.” John Kerry At first I thought this was a miss statement two week before the DNC convention. I know all politicians miss speak because of miss reading a line on the teleprompt or just by accident. Both Republicans and Democrats do it. But he has said it at the DNC convention and I believe two more times since then.

I'm going to ask you to prove your point on Mr. Moore. As I said, I don't bother with his films so you get to send me searching, give me some quotes where you believe Moore misled people and I'll do my very best to sort that out for you. I give reference to this twice Repley 10 and 30, You just can't i

Unfortunately, though chemical weapons are not considered WMD, unless they are put on an ICBM (Intercontinental Balistic Misseil *Forgive the spelling*). Come on, this whole thing was a sham...the U.S. just needed an excuse to go into Iraq. So a shipping container full of mustard gas set to explode in t
Madine & Madine We tried isolationism one time in the 1920s-30s. Look what it gave use over, 16 million dead in Europe alone. "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it." General Sherman
IT all goes back to the saying people fear what they dont know. Chinese intenetions have never been exceptionally clear, so people merely speculate that they are this great authorotarian power. Do I beleive it will ever get to a time where China will control Australia? not in my lifetime - I only need to worry about the here and
Interesting. The few Aussies I ever met would rather be a Democracy. When one is willing to deal with the devil, he should not be suprised to receive his pichfork up the A**. Before you decide to deal with the devil just remember what happened to Austria just before WWII. They gave up their rights and lost millions of sons in the wars for Hitler. Just because you don't like who the US president is right now don't through your freed
2) In 2000, the administration said Sadam had no weapons, and was not a threat. In 2003, they reversed that stance. Talk about a flip-flop. Please forward a refence for this opionon, because even Bill Clinton stated Saddam had the weapons and still does today. The last time I checked he was the adminis
Deference I have to agree with you that the media no longer fields an complete view of all events. Many of times I read of news organiation rushing a story to print/show without even checking the facts or refences. How often do you here a top breaking news story one day and two weeks later fined a correction on page 30 stating it was all wrong. But the damage is done and everybody now thinks it is true. More then once I have seen o
Deference from one military service member to a prior member you should go see this movie. The way he asked the questions would make you sick. One NCO, that is in my unit, decided to go see the movie after I did. Believe me he is a Democrat through and through and I repect his oppion. But he siad "On the way out of the movie he wanted to smash Moore's teeth in." This is a man who had the whole office looking at him after that statement, be
Deference If Moore or MoveOn were lying, I'd think it totally appropriate for Kerry to denounce their message as he would be the one to gain from it's slung mud. That isn't the case, however, the problem has been with Bush and the GOP, God rest their lying souls. Micheal Moore may not be lying
The CIA trained the Afghan guerillas--they may have done too good of a job. See what we forget is that in half of the conflicts the U.S. is in, at one time or another we've given them support only to have it come flying back in our faces. Thanks, you helped make my piont. When we had finished
Michael I respect your opinion, but I don't agree with it. 1. If we don't stay in Iraq now then we leave ourselves open to repeat the past. During the 70's the U.S. supported the Afghanistan fighters against the USSR. After the USSR pulled out we left that country out to dry. If we had spent a little time helping them, then the terror camps and radicals would not have helped bring down the towers. How ever we got into the war, if we cut a
First thing. I have been in the U.S. Army for 17 years and have served through both Iraq wars. I have worked with all type and consider myself a good judge of all the different types of citizen soldier characters. I respect all men who volunteered themselves for military service and have HONORABLY completed their contracts. John Kerry in my opinion never honorably completed his service. He is what many in service call a medal hunter and cu
