Yes, because in the context it appeared that they were acting as agents of the US government. A better mix of US and foreign soldiers added to General Assembly and Security Council support would create a more diverse picture. Currently it is easy for a mullah to argue that the Coalition of the Willing is the US and their colonial

For those who believe the UN has no place, I think it does as a shield. The UN adds a glaze of legitimacy which US actions in Iraq lack. Oil For Food Program Scandal, enough said about the UN.
Not long before he was assassinated, while he working on his "Poor People's Campaign" King said that the only way to eliminate poverty and racism in America would be a radical redistribution of the wealth of the nation. i.e. Socialism, well EngSoc worked in 1984, why won't it work now!!! HOOR
What would I do with Iraq. One keep a US presence there so the common Iraqi citizen would still have a hope of peace, and at the same time getting home units geared up and transformed out of their old Cold War Formations (Tank Heavy, Infantry Light) to the new Modular Formations, as well as equipping all home units with every bit of gear that a soldier needs learned from lessons in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also I would make sure home unit
How about this, those memos are the first ever slanderous accusation against a sitting President. Slander and libel are not covered by the first amendment, and if it was Gore there or someone else, I personally would push for prosecution against those people, because it is a direct slanderous accusation against the office of the President, so if it succeeds here. Well let us say that works once with the media will work twice. If you are goin
Only if the page is hot, mind you.
Stop Loss on units 90 days out before deploy is perfectly reasonable. After all would you go to war with a battle buddy you have known less than 90 days? Not to mention how hard it would be to get someone one trained and ready to go right before a deploy if that person came on board with less than 90 days to the deploy. I don't think it is a back door draft as much as it stops vital personnel from leaving a unit right before a deployment.
Well I did get $900 back last time I filed taxes, so it may have been the case, never know.
FLAT TAX RATE
What do you think that the chance is of the draft being re-instated by 2008? Only if we went to war with China and the current personnel in the United States Army left the planet. That is when the draft would be reinstated. For one Drill Sergeants, Recruiters, Generals, Soldiers, etc. would hate to ha
What about the middle class and the lower middle class, taxes are killing them and they are THE ECONOMY. How poor do you have to be not to pay taxes, when I was in the military one year I made 14,000 but still paid taxes, so how poor is poor to get the no tax break?
How would that help poor families? Taxes are not a burden for the impoverished . . . at what point does lower taxes help those in need? At what point do higher taxes help those in need?
Leadership Duty Respect Selfless Service Honor Integrity Personal Courage HOOHAH!!
Not saying one way or the other the reasons for going to Iraq was right or wrong, but the Army is working on training replacement units to the ones in Iraq with updated info each day or after something went wrong or right they dissect it and train the replacements. Right now the number one threat to soldiers in Iraq is improvised explosive devices (n
Only thing I would like to point out is General Cody's Speech yesterday (Gen. Cody is Vice Chief of Staff of the Army). He covered not only Iraq, but covered the Army's transformation and the near future of the Army, also answered questions as well. Only thing I think he did not cover was the reasons for Iraq (which he has no control over Army goes where they are told) and Stop Loss. The speech is 1 hour and 10 minutes long, you can f
Tammany Hall motto[?] How did a building come up with it's own motto? The man was named William M. "Boss" Tweed. Info on Tweed William Marcy Tweed a.k.a. "Boss Tweed" (April 3, 1823 - April 12, 1878), American politician, was the first political "boss" of Tammany Hall,
Gore's lockbox was another good one.
You're fantasizing about Reagan; true he was tough but don't forget the prior presidents that taunted the Soviets into inevitable collapse. What the heck stevendedalus? Why did you resurrect an article from August 03, 2004? <img src="../images/sm
Actually Carter did secure the release of hostages. Just not in time to benefit. That right there is what made the Terrorists think their program worked when the U.S. got those hostages back and withdrew. Terrorists all around the Islamic world realized tha
What do you like giving money to the government?
Ah, the Cold War.
Well when was the original deficit started, hmmm? Inquiring minds would like to know when and how it got started. Also, who was President at the time?
Personally and this on Communism and Socialism, If everything is going to be provided for me and there is no room for advancement, what is the point of working hard or working well. After all you could do a crappy, half-assed job and still get the same pay as somebody who did a good job, and that is my main hate for Socialism and Communism, without any prospects on future advancement to make more Bio-Survival Tickets than what is my motiva
If they were not Stalin's detractors, than how about any detractors at all, come on do you think the USSR supported Freedom of Speech, but yeah back to the topic. The reference to free speech limitation was in consideration of the neccessity of participation and dissent in a healthy democracy. So once again the "love it
