Here is my two Susan B. Anthony's worth thoughts on the subject: If the people who are so willing to starve the individual support the decision so readily why not put her out of her so-called misery faster and less painful (i.e. lethal injection, bullet to the brainpan, etc.) why must the method of death be such a long and drawn out painful one instead of a quick painless one? Are criminals more deserving of painless deaths than law

Only Law Abiding Citizens obey laws! Criminals who don't obey laws will not obey more laws meant to stop them, right? Instead the Law Abiding Citizens will be given the short end of the deal while the Criminals who don't obey laws will still possess the means to break laws. Napoleon was not French, he was Corsican...though when you think about it France has never had a strong leader who was French and unless you count Joan of Arc but the French betrayed her and watched her burn. Ah well, so much for French loyalty to even their fellow Frenchman (woman in this case). I think France is a particular focus here because: a) title of the article and topic of the post b) people defend France as an ally when clea

I thought the French only liked themselves and nobody else. I also remember from History books that the US had a Quasi-war with France after the American Revolution, not to mention the XYZ Affair during President John Adams term in office. I don't hate French people or French culture but the French government so bent on undermining the US or attacking the US through subterfuge is what I loathe. France the land of cheese and w

With Loonies like these in a party it seems to me more and more that in the near future the two major parties will be Republicans and Libertarians!! That is our goal in Indiana now is to push the Democrats out, ah, what will the United States be like with a brand new Major Party? One thing for sure it will be a political paradise to the current crop of bad apples. I need to take a wooden stick and pop these guys/gals in the head every

I am your diehard vehement Anti-Socialism Libertarian and avid rabid Ayn Rand Fan. Her philosophy is great but am I or have I ever done drugs? No, unless you count the ones Medical Doctors prescribe me but am I against the Drug War? Yes, because damn do we really need to waste time and money on a useless stoner? Sorry I am NOT my brother's (or sister's) keeper, let him/her rot if that person does not wish to better them self. After all you

This is where state powers end and Federal Powers begin, after all we cannot adjust the United States flag to fit the whim of every Tom, Dick, Harry, or Cat just because one part of the state differs from another part whether it is economic, philosophical, psychological, or political. This is Civil War territory that has already been treaded, this is one issue I still believe that the Central Government shou

Funny thing is the United States is on par with other countries for being fat, and the whole fat study had its figures blown out of proportion. Link I read in a magazine (Newsweek or something like that) that geneticists are finding out that it is just plain old genetics that some people are finding out that a white man is more

Why is Liberalism not "free" but will exact a toll from people both by monetary means and social/moral means? Why is Socialism a preferred system of government when it turns the government into a big brother for everybody that ends up making people weak mentally, physically, and socially? Why is the bashing of any nation the "in" thing? I dislike people who head a government or a form of government but not the nation itself that

Generally, unless I am mistaken Anti-Socialism (not Social context but political ideology) means I am against Socialism because I used the prefix Anti. Unless I am mistaken.

The Department of Homeland Security Agree, last time I checked we also have a Coast Guard that guards the US Coastline. Government just needs to revamp the National Guard. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quo

I think it is the fact that every sane individual knows that Bill Cosby is a learned individual who will attack your mind with reason and argument instead of attacking a person physically. Or he will make you laugh as he turns you into Jell-O!! - X

Turning an opponent's agenda into your strength and not his weakness may be a better victory than a person could hope for. Compromise and fix their agenda to work for you but don't just oppose all progress together and call it progress. - X

Grim - maybe you are OK with inciting hatred against minorities but some of us aren't. We have a right - a duty - to call out the hatemongers, and you are way out of line telling us to go volunteer. FWIW, I quit my six figure consulting job in 2000 to go volunteer teaching computers in the Third World through the Canadian NetCorp

In house politics is hilarious and personally I don't know why y'all taking it so seriously take a step back, cool off, and maize on through... Seems everywhere I look the right attacks the left and vice versa (excluding some more sensible and non-attacking individuals). People are taking politics more serious than the politicians...so if you really care about it that badly and I mean really care.

Psy-ops is fun. A friend of mine was Psy-ops going for Rotary Wing Aviation in the Army and he told me about how his little outfit planned an entire Psy-op hypothetical campaign for South Korea that involved fliers dropped from the sky, a Korean Holiday, and TV newscasts. - Grim

I was just watching CBC (?) on Newsworld International the other day and the reporter said 5,500 Americans became permanent residents in Canada last year while 11,000 Canadians became permanent residents in America last year as well. They also had a report that tried to show that the two countries have more in common than they have different. Granted I am not overly thrilled with Canadian politics but I still like Canadians despite that littl
