The finalist list is a crock of shit (Not the actual skins). As I said on the messageboard, there's quite a few that don't even have sound, my 911 skin being an example. The skins that do have sound belong there, but it's plainly obvious that the public are voting blindly (Or perhaps 'deafly' in this case), and not downloading the skins before voting.

Nah, that's Elton John.
Bill gates? Is that the little fat guy on the Conan O'Brien show?............. ;)
When it comes down to the final 20, how will the judges determine the fastest one? Will they use the WB benchmark prog?
That's actually a graphic which is found in your windows folder. Windowblinds won't touch it, so if you want to have it match your skin, you'll need to make one by yourself. I can't remember the exact location of the graphic, but I'm sure someone else here can point out the location for you. Check out http://www.virtual-plastic.net You should be able to find more info on changing it over there.(Hope that link is right)
Whoo, got my copy earlier this morning!! *dances* Can't believe how slick it is. Doesn't even load on startup really, as soon as you're in explorer, WB is already running Excellent work on this version.
Well, they're all available here. Or you can get Treetog's at http://www.integration-worx.com and Russ' at: http://www.dangeruss-industries.com
Or if you really want to impress those friends of yours, try the best Linux emulator out there: http://www.linux.com
I couldn't read the fellows nick, so I'll just call him Keith. Welcome to WIncusto, Keith.
If you mean the actual graphic of the group of skins, then off the top of my head I can tell you that one is Attacker by Treetog, and another is WB Mania, by D.A.K. I think there's also an Aqua/Mac one in there too, possibly the one Dangeruss did. Can't remember what the other 2 skins look like (Too lazy to check as well...)
Prog is called WindowFX and you can purchase it on the STardock site. It also allows you to add shadows to menu's and window borders. Should be noted that it'll only work on Windows 2000/XP, so if you have 98/ME, forget about it, as neither does transparency.
Could someone buy me a new car? Thanks a lot.
Wasn't me, I swear!! *runs off*
Hi, I am in the supermarket and have lots of products up my coat, but no way out. Can someone help me?.........
Maybe Stardock should change the 'about' section on this site, so that it isn't a complete pile of lying crap. I quote: "mission Statement" The goal of this site is to act as a general skin site to the community. There are hundreds of skinnable applications on the net. WinCustomize, however, strives to contain most of the very popular ones. It is also designed as an entry point for new users into the wonderful world of skinning. Click on the community link and you will find link
*sniff sniff* I smell...I smell..I smell bullshit! I thought this site would host skins for the most popular apps? Not the apps which would least dent your profits by stealing users. Is this true? (although we already know the answer to that one, but I'll humor y'all) Hmm, let's see then: Colorpad has 39 skins here. Would we say Colorpad is a prog that has 'made it'? Well, that whole invisible 'community of their own' must be so big that we can't even see it. Kewlpa
Hehe, blame Snowman....
And I'd like to quote from the 'about' section: "The site is largely independent of Stardock other than using its resources."
Bad idea. This is supposed to be a site all about windows customisation/skinning, don't bring the whole heavy handed element into it. I can understand the dilemma with the bandwidth, but nag screens? If introducing nag screens was the case, shouldn't all the other progs be the same?
Broken, you beautiful beautiful person you!!!! I could just kiss y'all (But we'll keep this strictly business*ahem*) That's the font indeed!! I owe ya one.
http://24.229.80.132/uploads/personal_icons/hippy7.gif Rough pic of the Hot-Rod font. Anyone recognise it?
I managed to find 2 versions of it on Techfonts. Here's the Cadillac one, which turns out is called 'Top Speed': http://techfonts.ellicit.org/images/top_speed.GIF Still after the Hot-rod one though.
I just checked both links, and it seems Thirty4 no longer have Sysmeter available on their site. I recall someone else hosting it also, can't remember who.
Beatnik http://www.somedec.com Sysmeter: http://www.thirty4.com These links should still work (If I remembered them correctly, that is)
