misc questions in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

This is my first post ever. Though I played GC1, I never had the need to post questions. By the time I started playing GC1 the forum was pacted with information. 1) When you trade tech's with other civ's, the installment option seems to be gone. Is this the case? 2) I just started my first game on cakewalk to learn all the new features before playing a real game. Obviously the tech tree has been greatly expanded. Well, I am still kind of a newbie myself but this is what I would do. It is to late to make them like you through trade and gifts, and apparantly bribes of tech and tribute over several turns wont work either. This is what I suggest. Go to your economic sliders and change your military budget to 100% and build as many of your best ships as soon as possible. If you have the funds, rush build one or two. Once your military is up to speed, he will come to terms. Check his technology level also. Fri

newbie starbase question in Strategies Stardock Forums

when you put a starbase trading modules installed in a sector, does it give you income from other civ's trading fieghters? I'm sorry if this sounds stupid.
