Acoustic Bridge setup

Hey guys, recently found this awesome program but I can only get it to half work!

I'm not sure where I am going wrong so I could use some assistance, it'd be much appreciated if anyone could help :)

Basically I have my Desktop and my Laptop, I primarily want to be able to stream audio from the desktop to the laptop but for whatever reason this isn't working.

The Desktop is running Windows 8 and the laptop is running Windows 7, both have audio set to 16bit 44100Khz and I do have the default port forwarded on my router for both machines.

Now the Laptop can stream audio to the Desktop fine but it doesn't work the other way around, not really sure where the issue lies as it's not giving the error saying it cannot find laptop on the network.

 

Again any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the audio mute itself on the desktop?

It may be you are experiencing an issue that showed up with Windows 8 and Acoustic Bridge where it would not always send audio depending on the applications running (having a flash video website open would typically make it happy).  If so we have a patch available which [email protected] can supply and I imagine we will be updating the release build with it soon.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply Neil! I will test having YT open and let you know how I get on.

 

Have just tested this and it's still not pushing audio. Let me try rebooting.
