Why so Bloated?

Yep. it's true, I've eaten so much the past few days I'm getting bloated. There are days when I feel like I'm going to explode.

I still have half a xmas pud to eat and some of my home made mince pies - mmmm, they are so good they're addictive :d Not to mention the 230g bars of chocolate... Oh, and that massive trifle I had the other day...

It's not over yet ;)

No Plomeek soup Fuzzy?

I have about 3 pounds of pasta salad left in the fridge, out of date now probably:blush: and I've been eating pretzels all day long:thumbsup:

Ahem... that's not bloat.  That's the outcome of increased archive storage, partially brought about by enabling Impulse to schedule regular downloads.

The commitment to defrag and create the new you (v.2.0.0.9) will likely follow in a New Years resolution thread.

Small footnote to above post in order to highlight the j/k nature of that reply and request directions to the 'You know you are addicted to technology when.... thread. ;)

Sorry, but he looks like one sick and miserable dude.  Even though he does make me look good (and that takes a lot), I feel sorry for him.

That person in the pic is a he... and he suffered with a condition known as Lymphodema.... a nasty disease where the lymphatic cirulatory system breaks down and the body retains lymph fluid, usually in the limbs though it can affect the genitals and entire torso as well.  There is no known cure, so when a person gets Lymphodema it's a lifetime of discomfort, pain and suffering.  I know this because my wife suffers with it, though nowhere nearly as severely as that poor soul, and I've had to learn about it in order to help and support her.

Seriously, this is NOT something to make fun of.

Now back to regular programming...

It seems that you enjoy your food, Fuzzy, as well as cooking it, and good onya mate... sometimes food is the greatest pleasure of all, so why the heck not enjoy it to excess a little over the festive season.... it only comes once a year.  I've not indulged greatly this year on all the Christmas trappings, but I do love my Xmas pud and I've had some cold with a bit of icecream, due to it being so damned hot.

:)

Altho mine is not serious it does hurt me to see someone else that had it worse than me cos i know that if I left mine any longer I would have died from this, so yes it is serious.   :'(

And here I thought this was going to be another thread griping about Impulse!

Seriously, though, morbid obesity is no laughing matter.  It's a crippling health issue, and the man in that picture (Manuel Uribe) has lost 500 lbs as of last October solely on a low carbdiet (without surgery). He also got married last October, and I'm terribly happy for him.

There is a lot of heartache wrapped up in obesity, and it's not only the obese person who suffers the heartache, family members, too, share the emotions, the hurt and anger when they see the one they love and gave birth to being shouted at on the street by complete strangers. :'(

hemanherecomes - you need to learn where the boundaries are.

Back to the topic at hand... Just finished off the last of the xmas pud. I hurt now :'(

I think for the rest of this evening I'll relax in front of the TV. Don't feel like moving much...

That's the go... and if you tune into the Oz - Proteas game, you'll see that Jafo's flu has taken a huge toll on the Oz side... can't see them salvaging this game, no way, no how.

Personally, I think it's a good thing... given the Oz cricket team has believed for too long that it is their 'right' to win.  This series loss will bring them back to earth and show them that they're human after all... not cricket GODS.  Sure they have been a quality playing side for a long time, but when I heard a few of them speaking last year at the Gabba regarding their 'superiority' and expectations to win, win, win, it just made me feel like some of them were so far up themselves they were pink on the outside.

Sorry Jafo... but I heard it with my own ears and I can't stand that kind of arrogance before a ball is bowled... quote: "We are the best cricket side in the world and it's our right to win this test series", unquote.

Anhow, Fuzzy, I'll probably never be forgiven for such blasphemy, but enjoy your evening in front of the telly and go easy on the nibblies afterpolishing off the pud. ;P
