Software recommendation

Hi all, as I am new to working with wallpapers, WB etc I wondered would anyone be able to recommend any specific software for creating wallpapers, editing them etc. Something with avaialable templates and so on, I currently have JASC 7.04 on my system but I am interested in an expert opinion / recommendation.

What you have is fine. I made some of first walls with Picture It 7. I guess it all depends on what your trying to do, effects, etc.

I recently upgraded from JASC PSP 8 to Corel PSP X. It was worth the money. Handles large files and memory much, much better (skins better too). It also picked up a few more "effects" along the way.
