Eidos Dates Prize Franchise

Eidos Interactive, the wholly owned subsidiary of former rival SCi, has dated the next installment to the Tomb Raider franchise. Tomb Raider: Legend will be raiding European shelves on April 7th before hitting North America on April 11th, for PC, PS2 and Xbox360 with a PSP version to follow at a later date.

Larry Sparks, Head of Brands Management, Eidos, said: "Everyone working on Legend is buzzing right now, we are all so excited that this totally new incarnation of Lara will capture gamers' hearts, just as her original game did, and challenge their minds like no Tomb Raider they've ever seen."

Let's just hope that its not the debacle of the last game! I was exasperated as I failed to control her yet again and she fell off a roof and encountered completely out of character "power ups". I found myself shaking my head and thinking "Lara! What have they done to you?". Still here's hoping they can save the series.

Gee, there have been FOUR crappy games in the series already?
I loved the first two games, particularly the giant levels in part two.
Every game since then failed to grab me. Let's hope some of the original designers
have actually consulted on this one, or it's the end of Lara.
