How do i change program icons??

Sorry for being a bit of a thicko (maybe it's my week old daughter keeping me awake) but how do I change the icons on my "normal", non windows programs? Like adaware, Kazaa etc. I have downloaded a number but seem unable (or too stupid) to figure out how to apply them!

I have Icon packager 3.10.102 and Icon developer 1.29[b].003 as part of the full object desktop.

right click on the icon you want to change, properties, change icon, browse, go find the one you want to use, apply

Some are trickier, like Microsoft Office icons -- I had to creat a new shortcut with the application as the target, then I could change the image. Those in particular don't like to be changed through the properties.
