So I decided to take an unpaid day off from work on Friday so I could use that day to explore around Chicago with my friends and extend my weekend a little bit. Well I did do this but if I would have been scheduled to work I would've been paid to not be there anyway.
Yeah, when you work for the school system if there's a snow day and there's no school you get paid anyway. But since I took the day off instead of being forced to take the day off I won't receive this free money....boo!
Okay I'm over it cause Chicago was a really good time. My body is definitely a little upset with me for the multitude of unhealthy meals and numerous chemicals I put in it combined with a great lack of sleep and exercise. But that's okay, it will make my return to a healthier lifestyle all the more important and might help me stick to it better. We didn't even do to much (or any really) of the touristy museums, sears tower, Michigan Ave., stuff, we mostly just walked around and bar hopped little holes in the wall. Which I really dug, definitely much more fun than waiting in long lines to get into clubs that have strict dress codes. So I think I need to sort through the damage I left in my apartment last night before crashing into bed as well as figure out who is going to get what postcard of the ones I picked up.
