After the latest update and every restart of the machine I get an open tiny window, which I can't believe is desired :

Also TS does not synchronize at all when I want to do it by hand pressing "Sync Now".

Same result here . . . but it may be related to the WB upgrade I did at he same time.

The extra little window from ThinkSync will be dealt with. It's convenient for testing for the developer, but it'll be going away. Please contact [email protected] about the sync issue.

For the Unable to load bitmaps bit, what's the date/time/size of your wbsrv.dll file? It should be 12/20/05  22:57         176,128  WbSrv.dll for the latest beta. If not, that's what's unhappy. Please uninstall, reboot, and reinstall the beta. Or leave the release 5.0 build on for now.

Had an odd install I guess. The WB directory was 'Read Only', half the files were compressed. I created a case with support with troublehooting info but have since uninstalled/reinstalled with no issues.
