It is hit and miss. Just opened SKS 5 times, 2 times worked three times stalls when opening a skin.
From both File then open and from open button. When stalls have to end task with Task Manager.

Skinstudio 4.9.5 crashes every ten minutes. It stops painting properly and just becomes a mess of images overlaying each other.


On the windownlinds 5.0 side, I also randomly lose my scroll bars and the skin previews in windowblinds configuration go missing. Sometimes it is all skins, sometimes it is just a few. Rebooting, uninstalling reinstalling, and changing skins doesn't fix it.
This has been off and on for awhile now but got very bad today.

Complete uninstall and reinstall of Windowblinds and Skinstudio resulted in many fixes. Skinstudio 5.00.047 when opened still takes about a minute to load. Then I can open a skin.

Not having a good week over here. I updated Icon packager to the latest 3.1 version. After activating it, I closed iconpackager and it crashed my system. Upon reboot, windowblinds kept crashing Explorer.
Now running naked XP. I'm gonna uninstall Icon packager, windowblinds, and skinstudio and await further instructions. I appreciate any help.

Trying to uninstall Stardock Central, uninstaller doesn't work , it freezes right at the beginning.

reformat complete.

Reinstallation of WB 5.0 , Skinstudio, 5.0 and Icon pack 3.1 went ok.

Skinstudio still has a lag when starting.

Sorry about all the problems you had, NT...what a bummer!

I noticed that Skinstudio 5.0 lags too when starting, but I haven't had any crashes or anything. I just figured it is a quirk with this update.

I wish there was some documentation with this update. I don't understand the per pixil thing. I noticed in the Windows section there are those extra windows (translucency, etc.)...don't have a clue what to do there!

Talking to one self when having problems becomes quite common here... There seem to be some incompatibilities of some OD apps going on. I have weird problems, too.

It was only my intention to notify the developers about the Skinstudio issue. The rest snowballed from there and I figured I would keep a log for what purposes, I do not know. Things are working fine now though. *KNOCK ON WOOD*
