Latest SD Virtual Desktops still losing apps...

The latest version of SD Virtual Desktops still loses 'explorer.exe' and 'iexplore.exe' after a few times tabbing away and then back to their desktop. Also, if I drag Excel from one tab to another or tab away and come back, all the tool bars in Excel are gone, everything except for the cell editing bar. I have to shut down Excel and re-start. This is the same behavior I have been seeing since the spin off from Control Center.

Also, the new 'Recover Lost Windows' option has the same effect as 'Retrieve Lost Windows'.

No luck yet for explorer/iexplorer disappearing. Known bug for most all VWM products available...IE chooses to "recycle" its windows when they're hidden. I recommend trying "Mode 2" if it cases significant problem for you.

The Excel problem, however, has been fixed. Was able to figure a way around it that won't negitivly effect anything else.

As for 'Retrieve All Windows' vs. 'Recover Lost Windows', same object, different effect. Recover lost windows may do funky things like show windows that were shown some long time ago but completly hidden (and not just to another desktop) since. For example, if you have something that minimizes to the system tray...if you choose that option it'll probably show it. Retrieve All Windows doesn't take as an aggressive of an approach when showing windows.

Thanks for the 'quick' reply.. I have been waiting for an updated version of SD Virtual Desktops for a while now...yawn...and have been using Virtual Dimension v0.94 for a while now which has a bunch of features not found in SVD. http://virt-dimension.sourceforge.net
