Site Navigation Excruciatingly Slow!

Over the last several days (11/26 - 12/2), wincustomize.com has been painfully slow to navigate around the site. All other websites are loading very fast for me but this one.

I've seen this happen, but only for some pages only. Forums are pretty fast and most galleries too. But the Popular section sometimes just keeps timing out. Sorry i don't have the necessary yellow-reports for more feedback.

All other websites are loading very fast for me but this one.


I have noticed this as well. Early this afternoon I was getting 'Bad Request (Invalid Host) messages when I tried to get on. Other times it's the 'Server Busy' message.

I wonder if Cyberworld has has seen this happen.

Holy Crap. I just tried to submit this and got this message...UPDATE failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'ANSI_NULLS., ARITHABORT'. I had to hit 'back' to get out of it. ????????

When I use quote, it only shows the 'quote' script..I have to paste what I want quoted into it now. This started yesterday for me.

and I am still getting that stupid 'ANSI_NULLS., ARITHABORT'. when hit submit.

For a day and a half I have had to use IE instead of FF to upload on here. And though I got through with IE, even that was painfully slow.

I think the double posting resuslts from hitting Refresh after getting ANSI_NULLS., ARITHABORT. Instead, just scroll to the top & click the Forum tab...

When I use quote, it only shows the 'quote' script..I have to paste what I want quoted into it now. This started yesterday for me.


this has happened since i updated to firefox 1.5..it has been noted as a problem before



oh well, easy enough to just copy and paste manually between the posts if you need too..

I updated to FF 1.5 , too. I'm not sure I am happy with it. Mostly because I lost the use of some great extensions that weren't compatible. I've also noticed a few bugs with certain sites that I didn't have with the previous version. Mostly in a delay with images or certain images missing all together.

Cool. I hit submit and didn't get that stupid page again.

"Privacy Report... "

Hmm, interesting! At the bottom left of my screen, which displays the site that I'm connecting to, every time I log into WC I get the words "Privacy Report" before I see that it's "done."

Anyone else? I'm sure it's just some glitches in the system having to do with upgrading the site. At least I hope it is!

and anyone notice the funniness with the "this just in" section to the left of us, it sometimes shows stuff that's been there for a week already.

great extensions that weren't compatible

there are some firefox extensions that will force the non-compatible extensions to work with 1.5, and in most cases they work correctly..the only one i found didn't work was Compact Menus

Anyone else having a problem with getting to page 2 on different pages on the site? I can't get to page 2 on my list of skins page on personal WC site. There are other pages as well. This morning I was looking at the misc icon section and couldn't get to page two.

And just now I tried to add a smilie and it wouldn't work.

All you describe requires javascript. Do you have javascript disabled?

Actually, Koasati, I do have it enabled. I think the problem came when I downloaded the Mozilla extention to be able to revert to IE with just a click. I've spent awhile trying to figure out the problem because for both IE and Mozilla I had JAVA enabled. Once I uninstalled the extention, all seemed to work fine.

Mostly, I want to thank you for your help! It certainly pointed me in the right direction!

Java, and Javascript, are not the same thing....
