suggestions

1.Influnce Resource way too stong if you find one early and max out its mining your influnce will take over half the galx as easy as that.

2.lnflunce/Cultural Boarders Fog in your boarders i would think you would have a clean line of sight within your own boarders

3.Governor think its good for upgradeing your buildings but later in the game when you get new things you still have to go back and decomission a building to put up a new type

4.Wonders its hard to tell between a Galactic achicvement "omegashipyard" i really thought it was a upgarde too the starport or a run of a mill building like a factory maybe chage the colors of them so we know

5.Starbase more the Military starbase then anything i would think it could attack ships not just defend its self and maybe a bigger line of sight for all of them

6.Planetory Defense there seems to be none unlike GC1 or you dont get them too late in the game and what happen to Minds

Well thats about it and i know these are just suggestions and you guys are doing a gr8 job and the chaces are that its too late but thxs for listing anyway

And sorry about the spelling and grammer i am on a very small labtop and its hard to see what i am typeing

1. Fixed in beta 4c.

2. We'll have to think about that.  That could be easily abused.

3. Yes, but that is part of the game.  You should have to make tough decisions like that.

4. The graphics aren't done yet.  More will be put in and there will be more visual changes on that screen.

5. Starbases are too big to go after other ships.

6. Planetary defense is available under planetary defense. It's there.

They could have long range weapons.. But only the military starbase, and perhaps a big penalty.. Like needing two or more modules per improvement and only availble later in the research tree.

Or maybe having attackers bays, or long range ships bay etc. You could transform your starbase in a military outpost and launch your ships from there, where the ships could be build or repair or troops could be accumulated there.

1) agreed, glad it's going to be fixed. Actually, I got the same results from taking the +60 influence bonus as a racial stat.

2) I thought about that, but was thinking the other way around, your influence shouldn't extend outside your explored space *snicker*

3) Depends on what you mean. If you're talking hyperion/omega improvements, I don't see that as a problem. If you're talking about the fact that, for example, a research center won't upgrade to a research academy, then I have to agree.

4) I'm not assuming any graphics are final yet, as Frogboy mentions.

5) I disagree. While I'd like to be able to create fleets that include starbases, that's only to defend the starbase. One little square is a week's travel time at the start of the game, and even towards the end, it would still be half a day's travel for a fast ship. I don't see starbases being able to attack at that range. Not even sure I see them supporting other ships at that range, but that's at least a little more plausible.

I have noticed that there is a "Mining bonus" on my planets, but no Mining improv. What's up with that?

I would really like to see the resource type a starbase was constructed around in the details listing for that base. I've gone to renaming my base to indicate the resource for reference. I suppose I will eventually recognize them by sight, but it would be nice to have that info.

Also, is there any way to create a research advisor (or governor) to allow you to cue research projects? I would love to set up 5 or 7 research projects and then go about the business of ruling the galaxy without my research hampsters needing attention and new orders all the time.

And while I'm on the subject of research, Can the tech tree screen be scalable so I can view more of it on the screen at once? The "View More" option helps a little, but I would really like a better way (or multiple ways) to view the tech tree databse.

Mines have been removed from the game, but the bonus tile for them remains at the moment. Just ignore it and treat it as a plain tile
