Can't Run Thinkdesk !

For some reason i can't make thinkdesk work... I've setup on both Computers running windows xp with Norton Internet Security thru a Linksys Lan - Wireless Network.

I've installed on pc two which i call Orlando with the ip address 192.168.1.110 and the Main Pc which i call Orlando1 with ip address 192.168.1.102 and when i try to configure the connection and cries about my firewall so... I diasabled the firewall ( NIS ) on both pc's and tried again, still crying... So i configured the router to allow the port thru Port Forwarding and Port Triggering and yet nothing.

I've been trying to demo the program before i buy the pro version would've been really mad if i brought the program and it doesn't even work.

I'm i missing something here ??

Is a log being created in the ThinkSync Log directory? Any hints there?


Can you verify in the thinksync.ini log that all is well there?

Is Windows Firewall off?

Well honestly i uninstalled thinkdesk and tried Synergy that i found on this forum from another poster and to tell you the truth within seconds i had it working in comparsion to afew hours of trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with thinkdesk....

As is the case of most software "your milage may vary". I had all the componants of the Thinkdesk working almost immediatly.

And while synergy does some nice things, the power to copy and paste files across PCs makes Multiplicity priceless.
