Duragesic Patch therapy - day 2

Today was better.  Significantly so.

I had to take a couple of percocet this morning, but that's been it.  Dave and I went to the grocery store and the BX this afternoon, and I haven't needed to take any percocet since then.  Usually a trip to the store would result in my needing to pop a couple of pills and take a time out on the couch.

I don't feel as stoned as I would on percocet or vicodin either.  I felt a bit queasy this morning, but that was gone by about 9am. 

What I'm trying not to do is do too much because I'm not hurting as bad.  I'm still keeping an eye on my activity level, on what I do.  Just because I'm not in as much pain because I have a patch doesn't mean that I can go do yoga and run a mile.  Like at the commissary today: I didn't push the cart, I didn't bend to get stuff off the shelves, and if it weighed more than 5lbs, I didn't pick it up.  Hehe....it's going to be fun trying to grocery shop whilst Dave's gone.  I'm going to have to take Davey and Jake with me to push the cart and do the lifting, and I think that we're going to have to go shop weekly so there isn't as much for those litle boys to haul around.  Shea's going to have to help unpack and put stuff away at home.....basically, everyone's going to have to chip in and help out.  I'm going to do as much as I can, but I simply can't afford to do too much and fuck myself up in the process. 

So, the Fentanyl patch is working, and so far it's working relatively well.  We'll see what tomorrow brings....
