Mr. DeLay, would you please make room for Mrs. Dole

More Republican Campaign Finance Issues

http://www.fec.gov/audits/2002/20051007_dole_nc_victory.pdf
I figured I would do a post like Dr. Guy...but with a twist! I will include actual facts! Yes, I know it's a novel concept, but I figured what the hell.

From Capitol Buzz

Misery loves company. Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) joins Tom DeLay with investigations into illegal corporate contributions to her 2002 campaign committee:

Federal auditors said a campaign committee for U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-N.C., should return $81,320 in unlawful corporate contributions from her 2002 campaign. … A federal audit of the Dole North Carolina Victory Committee, a joint fund-raising effort between Dole and the North Carolina Republican Party that [Earl Allen] Haywood helped manage, determined that it had deposited 31 checks received from the general funds of corporations. Such donations are unlawful.

Like DeLay’s PAC, Dole’s committee is trying to point fingers and blame Haywood, who last year admitted to stealing money from the committee. But the FEC isn’t biting:

Regardless of Mr. Haywood’s reputation, in the opinion of the Audit Staff, the lack of basic internal controls (e.g. separation of duties) and oversight by DNCVC created an environment that contributed to the misappropriation of funds and the misreporting to the Commission.

The FEC also concluded that Dole’s group "bears the responsibility for the return of the prohibited contributions." Read the full report for more wrongdoings by the DNCVC.

I don't really see what the relevance of the "facts" you submitted is to Elizabeth Dole. Are you implying that she was behind the all the legal problems of the Clinton administration? I had a feeling she was! Damn her!

Do you have a link to relevant goverment documents that would back up the supposed "facts" you listed? That's what you righties still don't get...pasting stuff from other peoples blogs/articles in your comments doesn't make it a fact.

For example...show me a link to an FBI document that shows these 18,000 witnesses misappropriated by the white house. Or are you afraid to do so because you might be "beat up or intimidated" by someone working for the Clintons?

They have this in common.....you showed some for republicans and I showed some for democrats. And just an fyi these "facts" are easily verifiable. Go do a little googling for yourself and look it up for yourself.

I shouldn't need to spend my time substantiating other people's posts. You take care of yours, I'll take care of mine.

But if I did want to "do some googling for myself", would beaten up by Clinton White house staffers be the right keywords?

You have no facts. Prove it. Yes you have to. It is my comment on your blog so you have to prove it!

How childish! And you still have not provided any facts or links. you lose. I did. You did not. buhbye!

I provided the proof, check out the link. It is directly to the report by the FEC. Direct from the source...you should try it instead of linking to excerpts of excerpts.

lol, yes, an 50 cent probably does his own accounting. Anyone who can't see the partisan filth in all this is blind. I can imagine what Dems would say if a big name Liberal was being crucified for underhanded accounting perpetrated by third parties who have been found to be criminals.

That's life though. Clinton squaks through Whitewater because all his big bad partners were the crooked ones and accepts no responsibility for criminal acts, and yet a some doneations get shifted in the exact same method political campaigns have operated for decades and you go straight to the top to define the prince of darkness.

ANyone who is moved by all this propaganda is a tool, frankly. This is a PR battle that means *dick*, foisted as a smokescreen in order to hide the mountains of other wrongdoing that goes on in Washington daily, on both sides of the aisle.
